Unsure where to put this but The Lions Den have composed the lyrics of our theme song with the old Fitzroy trumpet, thus removing the god awful synth.

Personally I hope the club get behind it as I think it's amazing.

Not a fan personally. Dom Fay played this on the Roar Deal last week, and commented that it's slower. I don't actually think it is slower, the different style of music simply makes it feel that way. The opening bars of our current version is far more powerful, even if it's not perfect.

If anything, we should be seeking to recreate the current version (note for note) with real instruments, replacing the current synth-based music.

Speaking of upcoming media actually, apparently the Fox doco of our 2024 season is not too far off. Apparently they started out making it simply about the Grand Final, as is the norm each year, but then they decided it was far more powerful making it about our journey from the 2023 Grand Final.

Not gonna hold my breath on anything of incredible quality emerging; this is Fox Footy after all, and one could easily expect the effort they put into these things to be commensurate with the size of the active supporter base. But something to keep an eye out for just the same.

Well, I've applied Nunez irel Gadzorks! Amongst other things, I tried to sell myself on my proven ability to connect with fans, the unique perspective I offer as somebody without a traditional background in media and linked the hundreds of messages of endorsement I have received (thank you, again).

I'm concerned they will filter the applications by key words in resumes or will open the resume and see I have no professional experience, thus my cover letter won't even be considered... So, I have emailed the club with my resume & cover letter, briefly explained my unconventional application and said I would be most grateful if my application could please be reviewed in-full with consideration of both documents. Hopefully this stops it from falling between the cracks but who knows bc there are already hundreds of applicants on LinkedIn alone and their emails will be hectic with membership renewal period.

I hope they give your application the time and attention it deserves - successful or not. The thing I love about people who are self taught is they haven't been told what not to do. Their limits are that of their imagination, trial and error.

Ironically, I was contacted yesterday about a membership follow-up enquiry from November and the guy asked me at the end if I was the "mini movie girl" lmao. I said that was me and took the opportunity to ask if he could please make sure my email/application got to the right person - he immediately found it and forwarded it to the social & jobs departments!

Unreal timing. I don't mind if it is successful or unsuccessful now because at least I know that it will have been considered
