On The Age Real Footy Podcast this week Jake Niall are Caroline Wilson slipped in that 5 clubs, including Brisbane, were chasing Gubby Allan as a consultant before he signed on with North.

For those wondering why Zorko has had some quiet games this probably goes some way to explaining things.

"Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko is second to Higgins in terms of suffering blows worthy of match review punishment, targeted four times by opposition players this season."

Why would that make him have quiet games? Players get hit all the time. Higgins has been targeted the most this season and he is having a great season.

Seriously got to love this article:

Witherden ranks elite in four stat categories and above average in an astonishing ten, while Petrevski-Seton ranks elite in none and above average in five. Darcy Gardiner rates elite in five statistical categories and above average in another four. Weitering ranks elite in none and above average in only three, highlighting the extreme disparity.

Pretty sure Witherden has taken the third most marks in the league to date to.

Dodongo you will be happy. In today's hipwood interview around the 3 min 20 mark hippy says Barrett is underrated and his pressure is great. Barrett is a bit of a good luck charm as he has been involved in this year and last years wins.

I wonder if he could keep his spot with Cameron in the team. Cameron's forward pressure seemed to have dropped off this season and he was playing up the field more although he wasn't doing a lot up the field.

Maybe if Rayner or Bundy was playing more in the midfield we could fit both Cameron and Barrett in the forwardline.

So he reckons we should be coming equal ninth on the ladder on form etc?

So he reckons we should be coming equal ninth on the ladder on form etc?

He gives scores for each game, and takes into factor what the expectations would be for the side against their opponents. So we are tracking well in terms of his expectations, as opposed to those below. It's a tick in other words to our progression, as further evidenced by our percentage. It's no big thing just a bit of fun really.

Worth calling out this bit because there's been different people harping on it over the years:

The Lions have a psychiatrist employed by the club that we can regularly see, and a full time Player development manager who is a great avenue for the boys to reach out to.
