...past or present, put up two vids of a band that you may think are forgotton or lack exposure to the masses.
Here are two from Talk Talk, a band from the 80's that to my mind, helped invent what many would regard as alternative post-rock. Started off as your typical synth pop band (Today, It's My Life), threw away the cheesey synths to create a more mature sound on 1986 album "Colour of Spring" with gems like "Lifes What you Make it" and "Living in a Another World" and finally graduated onto the post rock final two albums which are critically acclaimed, represented here by "I Believe in You". Mark Hollis, surely one of the best vocalists and lyricists off the past 30 years descended into heroin addiction and has dissapeared from the public consiounce, although a pretty unflattering cover off "It's my Life" was released by long-term fans, No Doubt a few years ago. Time to discover a great band.....or not - you decide.
