I just posted the link for those ppl that want to read more discussion about the app.

Fair enough. :thumbsu:

I just checked iTunes and it is actually "$5.99 PER 30-DAY SUBSCRIPTION".

Want it for the 2010 season, that's about $36 or $42! LOL

Get ****ed Telstra!

**** me, that's (obviously) even worse. What a friggen joke. On principle alone, I'd rather set fire to the money than give that to Telstra.

Would dearly love there to be a country-wide boycott of this app.

I bought my 32g 3GS today. Stoked.

Bit pissed that all my contacts didn't import though.

Try importing them into windows address book with your current phone. Most Nokias can use the Nokia PC software and export into the Windows address book. You can then set your iphone contacts to sync to your Windows address book.

Sync your phone and zing all your contacts will be imported in. Its also a good way to keep a back up of all your contact details incase your phone/sim gets broken etc. Editing and cleaning up your contacts is also very easy in the Windows address book.

i came pretty close to buying it just so i can give a 1 star rating and hurl some abuse in a review...

Anyway, any apps you people can recommend to me?

Aussie rules LIVE app = free
If your into European football get sky sports app, think its about $4 but its worth getting. LiveScore app is free as well, gives you live updates any games in the world.
Also found Paper toss addicting

btw, anyone have the tunein radio app? wondering if it uses alot of data etc.

went to 3shop today and they said it uses 1mb per minute, think they are bullshitting though as what would be the point of the app if it wastes that much data

The amount of download data the application uses depends on the bitrate of the stream and can be significant. For example, a 128 kbps stream would use about 60 MB/hour. So, if you don't have an unlmited data plan, monitoring your data usage is very important when using the application.

Eurosport is better IMO for live European soccer matches.

Good live commentary text, and updates by the minute, best of all it's free.

I just got a new computer and for whatever reason, had to reformat my iPhone.

While it is a pain whenever it happens, it's probably the best thing that happened to me. Upon remembering all of the stuff I had on it, I re-loaded it with just the essentials and the apps that I use once every few days.

It's amazing how much crap you collect and before you know it, you have five or six screens to scroll through.

The bare essentials FTW!

Does anyone know of a decent app to keep track of kilometers driven etc? For work reimbursement purposes...

Can i ask a typically n00bish question...what's the go with podcasts? I buy alot of audiobooks from itunes, and alot of the content I'm after is available via podcast. I've always hesitated due to being a techno-n00b and having no clue what podcasts would mean, mainly in terms of download limit. Some of the podcasts I'm after are 2-3+ hours long...will this chew through my download limit (I have 750mb per month)??

Cheers.

750mb? I assume thats your phone download limit.

download them via itunes on your computer then sync with your phone. Theres a 'podcasts' section in the itunes store. Most are free. Plus a lot of websites you can click a link to download a podcast.

Yeah, sorry. 750mb on the phone, 7GB on my laptop. I normally do download everything via my computer, I just thought maybe podcasts operate differently and maybe just the act of watching them, even after being downloaded, might also chew through your limit. Like I said, a n00b question.

Thanks for the help. :thumbsu:

the sound toggle button fell off my phone today, i cant find it.

will it be covered by warranty?
Yes. I got a new 3G when mine failed, didn't even fall off.

Just book yourself a Genius Bar visit. :thumbsu: In an out in about 10 minutes with a new (refurbished) iPhone
