Nah, they payments are almost identical if you compare the current 8GB to the new 16GB, and the current 16GB to the new 32GB.

I'm leaning towards the iPhone 3GS ahead of 1st/2nd gen phones like the Magic and Pre.

Can't wait to get my hands on one and see if I can rid myself of Windows Mobile.

YES FINALLY! Noticed how much quicker it was the other day when I got round to trying it out. Was ridiculously slow beforehand but now it loads like it should.

If i do get a 3GS (and I'm happy 3 are officially supporting it), then i have to decide on capacity and colour. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't want 32GB, and as for colour White just for something different?

I Jailbroke my iPhone this afternoon but soon realised that I have missed nothing since I have had 3.0 installed especially considering the sluggishness I sometimes endured. I have reinstalled the 3.0 software and will leave it at that until something amazing makes me change my mind again.

EDIT* For anyone wishing to use the redsn0w jailbreak software I got it working fine so go ahead.

If you goto Settings>General>Home>Search Results and uncheck everything, the search function will become faster but will retain all its functionality despite unchecking everything,

Some people notice it more than others though.

Nope, if I uncheck everything it only searches through my Contacts and Mail, not my Apps.

its called *takes deep breath* Mobile maps Australia & New Zealand Turn-By-Turn voice guided GPS nav... (yes that is the title.. im guessing it is longer than that as the ... cuts off the last word)

aside from the ridiculous title, it looks pretty cool.. basically a fully featured navigator.
$79.99 though..

tomtom is releasing one soon.. was announced at WWDC.. there'll be an app available and also a cradle that's supposed to apparently boost gps signal.. i wonder how much that will cost?
