Just wondering if you learned gentlemen could help me.

Just got a new 32GB 3GS model last week, have downloaded a shitload of free apps, however the only 2 things I've bought I'm having trouble with. I bought the iTranslate app, and it never downloaded, and I also bought 1 song, which when I log into iTunes on my laptop is there (and it was on my phone straight after I bought it), but it's no longer on my phone??

Just wanted to see what was going on. There is a truckload of other stuff I bviously want to download, but for the time being am a bit nervous about buying stuff.

check to see if the App is ticked in the Applications tab when you plug in your iPhone?

As for the song, is your iPhone synced? if so and its on your laptop, sync it back to the phone?

Is there a 'drag and drop' way of copying photos from the phone, rather than syncing with a folder?
Open my computer and you will see the iPhone. Just go into the only folder and you can see your photos

It has a name, a nice name actually. I am sure the Iphone is good for what it is, but this one does what the Iphone does and more and not to mention better.

Your insistence twice to denigrate the iPhone without offering up what you purchased renders everything you say from hereon as irrelevant.

I purchased the Samsung i8910, happy? Because I certainly am. :)

That wasn't hard was it? I don't know anything about the phone, but if you did your research I'm sure you made a decision you will be happy with.

I just have a problem with people that
- find fault with everything to do with the iPhone
- defend everything to do with the iPhone

I think there is much room for reasonable discussion somewhere in the middle.

I never said I found fault with the Iphone, but I did a lot of research over a few months before getting the Samsung. I had 5 phones I was going to purchase and one was the Iphone. But comparing the two I decided on the Samsung, a lot more features and it has HD recording, HD movie viewing and the screen is awesome. Not to mention the camera and the speed along with the 16 gig internal, and get a 32 gig sd card and you can use it as a portable movie player.

So how about you go with "I prefer the Samsung i8910 because it has a better camera suite". Would be fair enough.

Personally, I don't couldn't give two hoots about the camera, and the idea of watching movies on a phone seems hilarious to me. I went for the iPhone because it's quicker, more intuitive, and has a bucketload more developers working on apps for it than any other phone on the market. This despite my general dislike for Apple and the way they do things.

So spare us your rubbish. A market exists for a reason; different phones cater to different needs.

Anyone need a Usage application? You can't do much better than Consume by Melbourne developer Bjango. Can do all Australian prepaid and postpaid mobiles, as well as internet providers and home phone accounts. Even does some overseas providers.

The application is the easiest I have seen to set up, and the interface is very clean and not cluttered.

My lord ProSwitcher is amazing.

It is in Public Beta atm (if you want it, add http://booleanmagic.com/repo to Rock/Cydia). Works very well. There's about 10 options on how to activate it while in app. I currently have it at Holding the Home for a second or two. Works flawlessly.

Couple this with Backgrounder and you're flying.

And for those with a 3G who want to use this with Backgrounder, have a look into this http://modmyi.com/forums/native-iph...-iphonevm-use-virtual-memory-your-iphone.html

It makes you're phone much smoother, and allows more apps open without the worry of crashes.

So I got a new laptop and I was just wondering if I sync my iPhone with that, will I lose all my apps?? I don't mind so much about songs coz I can just put them back on, but don't wanna lose any apps.
