Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I don't think this would go live until iPhone 4. It will be pushed out for developers, but no point putting it out solely for iPhone 3GS. If that was the case, then a dual release of iPad + OS4.0 would of been easier. The only problem once they release the new features is waiting for the bloody update to become live. I really hope that multitasking is added but really not sure why they would bother until the new phone is released midyear.

iPad gets this in Fall (sooo August/September). Probably a month after iPhone 4
And this is only for iTouch 3Gen and iPhone 3GS. So no 2nd Gen iTouch or 3G iPhone.
*@#& you Apple!![]()
I am pretty sure the 3G gets the update. It just wont include multitask as the 3G doesn't have enough memory to be able to do it.
yep, absolutely no mention of iPhone 4g. OS4.0 coming summer, ie July, which is also the usual release of the iPhone, so i am expecting a dual launch, like 3G and 3.0.
I don't see why they would do a massive showcase, and then ship an OS for a year old model. Kind of pointless.Yeah really hoping there is a dual launch because don't think I can sit around using my old usless 3G when there is an update floating around containing multitasking
I will be in a position to easily upgrade at this stage so hoping to hear a few details being revealed shortly. Think I am right in saying that the 3GS was launched only about a month after it was revealed. So not hearing anything yet is not a big deal.
If the Nexus One, for example, would have an App Store with the depth of the App Store, then I could see myself moving.Yeah I guess they would definitely want the new one at least close to a release so those people wanting a new phone after 2 years don't decide to try HTC or Motorola.
I have kept a decent eye on other phones around at the moment but don't think that anything has come close to the iPhone. Especially if some of the rumours floating around about possible specs are true.
No effing way would Apple approve that. Jailbreak here we come!
Yep thinking the exact same thing.![]()
