Yeah. Find a program to get them off first. There should be plenty floating around

Turn off bluetooth, wifi and location services to see if that makes much difference.

I always have bluetooth off. I have a feeling it may be because of the 3G. It's always on 1 or 2 bars so it's probably eating up stacks of battery looking for a better connection.

I got it about 4 weeks ago. I personally am disapointed in the phone, it's not a major difference from the 3G/S model.

I have an Ipod touch, but i figured this would probably be the best place to ask. When I go to sync it itunes crashes just as it finishes backing up my ipod, anyone got any idea's, have tried reinstalling but doesnt work.

With relatively large data packs with the iPhone 4, has anyone tethered to a PC or Mac? Is it as straightforward as it seems? Do any telcos charge for tethering? Can you do this without jailbreak?

I've tethered. I think Optus may charge for tethering. I'm Voda. Can be done out of the box, via Bluetooth or USB. Straightforward as it comes. Has an option in Network. Flick it on, plug in phone via USB. Connected. Easy as

I am 17 yrs old i am trying to order my iphone 4 online via optus, comes up with a section drivers license number or pin password. I dont have my license yet, and what is a pin password??

Can't have a contract if you're under 18, right?

Would need to buy outright from Apple, then go on Pre-Paid, or have to have it under your parents name.

You can have a plan if your under 18, it just has to go under one of your parents name and they have to sign for it.

For some reason I'm not receiving MMS's on my iphone4. Had a quick look through the settings and MMS was enable and everything else looks right. Not sure if anyone can help out here?

Anyone know how to block numbers on an Iphone 3G? I've tried iBlacklist, but it didn't work for some reason.

Have you JBen it?

Pretty sure there were some early issues with JB, MMS and FaceTime.

Don't know if they were fixed with the JB for 4.1.

But they were present.

Restore, perhaps?

Yeah I did. Will try the restore. Does that mean I'll lose all apps and media?

My 3GS is going into meltdown. Flew to Sydney yesterday, switched on and it became a pocket heater, losing about 33% battery per hour. Can only think that the lower air pressure somehow facilitated a pre-existing battery short or something.

Hopefully it will remain alive until I can get it replaced on Monday.

VLC is the bomb. Needs to auto lock to landscape mode though, no reason to watch videos in portrait.
