Maybe it wouldn't be so boring if I 'adopted' a team. Who is everyone following and why?

BTW, I will not support any team that has Matthew Hayden in it.

Just for a bit of fun I've jumped on the Rajastan Royals bandwagon who are the only team captained by a non Indian player the one and only S. Warne. He is also coaching them, would be very interesting team tactics!:D

Anyone else see Ganguly refuse to walk after being caught in the deep by Graeme Smith this morning?

One of the more extraordinary things I've seen in cricket.

It was taken low to the ground, but was clearly a catch.

Ganguly stood next to the (Indian) umpire pleading for him to rule that it touched the ground. Something which the players are not allowed to do, and something that all players agreed on not doing not that long ago. It got sent to the 3rd ump who ruled Not Out.

Extraordinary.

Didn't see it, but this doesn't surprise me after the catch he claimed off Gilchrist in the World Cup Final a few years back!:thumbsd:

That was a shocker too.

Somehow I don't think we're going to hear a lot of fuss about this one from the Indians...

I saw it too MBP, and I have to agree, was an astonishing piece of play. Ganguly did everything but make the third umpire signal for the umpire. Even without the close up camer angles, you could clearly tell that Grae-me (12th man reference :p) got his fingers underneath the ball.

Surprised that Warne didn't unload on him, to be honest.

Just had a look at it on youtube, absolutely unbelievable! But as I said before not surprised with Ganguly he is a cheat of the highest order. (World Cup catch!)

Well, there you go. Good to see him having a go at Ganguly, although it won't achieve anything in the end.

This series has really shown how much of a smart cricketer Warne is. The way he can take a whole side (well, the majority of it at least) under his wing the way he has is quite amazing.

Truly sad that he never got to be the Aussie captain. The odd text scandal or Mum's diet pills always popped up at the wrong time.

Is a great leader and would have played very attacking cricket.

Yeah, Ganguly's ____ing scum, disgraceful effort last night.

Having said that, I've adopted Kolkata Knight Riders as my team, mainly because of Ponting, Hodge and D Hussey.

Plus, the uniform and name, totally out there but it caught my eye.

Meh, they don't do it for me now.
The royals have won me over. A good team to support i believe.

I'm with you Paddy. Warne's captaincy is fantastic.

But unlike yourself I don't mind the Knight Riders bar that knob Ganguly. He is an A Grade Ponce.

It seems that indians like lions. And well lions are kings of the jungle. So they call them kings. I don't know why there is two kings teams superkings just doesn't make sense.

No idea. But i think they're called that as the owner is also the owner of a company royal challenger.

Royals is different to the royal challengers. The logo of rajhastan contains a crown and two elephants. Maybe in india they are sacred or something.

No. Though i will say that it is a pretty poor choice in naming a team.

Deccan is the name of the team. Deccan i believe is also a company and the owner owns the team and the company. A charger relates to a bull, because bulls charge. There's also a footy team known as the chargers. I'd say it's not a bad choice in naming of the team. I have no problems with it. Though royal challengers, superkings and indians as names of teams are just shit as.

No, Deccan is a region in India, where the team is based. Quite well know for its geological formations, especially the Deccan Traps. I suspect you're right on the chargers bit though.

Nothing better then 4 vics out there the other night

Go the Royals! Warne is a genius, should have captained Australia and will probably play in the Ashes, if he puts his hand up why not pick him?

The Royals were tipped to come last and are the cheapest franchise (only 67 million $$) in the competition, as against the two bottom teams who paid 111.6 million $$ (Bangalore Royal Challengers) & 107 Million $$ (Deccan Chargers)

Lowest player payments in the whole comp and on top of the ladder.

And I reckon he's almost zero percent chance of playing in the Ashes. I would absolutely love it if he did, but it just won't happen.

Well done to Warnie, Shane Watson and the Rajasthan Royals. Shane Watson Player of the Series and Shaun Marsh most runs.

Good win off the last ball, S. Warne has just shown us what a smart cricket brain he has, it is a pity he wasn't as sharp off the field at times! He would have made a great skipper of Australia.

S. Watson certainly looks like he has left the injury troubles behind and is playing good cricket, he will probably get a gig in the one day side soon.

Yeah very interesting situation with Watson. The selectors have obviously felt he needed to prove he could play a season or two without getting an injury before considering him again.

IMO, an allrounder should only be considered if they are good enough to hold a spot with either batting or bowling alone. You'd almost say his batting is not far off an national spot ATM.

His bowling is also going very well ATM, considering he could bat in the top order and bowl around 150 km/h, he could be breathing down A. Symonds neck for a place in the test side very soon should his form subside or even one of the top order batsman.
