aite, i had this Ipod for a 05 and the 3 year warrinity is just over i think.
when i plug in the headphone only the left side works, it works perfectly, but i get nothing from the right. When i hold in the plug and twist it around i get sound from both sides, but otherwise nothing.
i guessing its just from the sides of the hole wearing away from the use, but is there anything i can do to fix it?

It may be a loose connection inside the iPod as well. My old Creative Zen Micro was plagued by a similar problem - the solution I found on the net involved cracking the unit open and either resoldering something or just trying to chock it up with a little bit of cardboard to force the connection together. Sounded way beyond what I wanted to do in either case.

I've got exactly the same problem, definitely a problem with the jack I'd say.

I'm just going to get a new IPOD anyway, my current one is a NANO and I want to upgrade to a 40GB, or thereabouts.

The white Ipod earphones are terrible, unreliable and give poor sound quality. Usually one dies before the other and you get this horrid unbalanced sound. Paying top dollar for good earphones or headphones is definitely a good investment in my opinion as if you get the good stuff, they'll last and they give you the best quality sound.

Ipods themselves can be riddled with issues but thus so far my 160 gig monster has lasted a fair while...But then again I look after it as though it's my baby:eek:
