I'm just wondering what people's thoughts on the upcoming IR series are.
Australia have sent a different squad. It is not the team that dominated last time around.
In previous years it has been the fitness that has seen our boys excel with the finishing of N.Brown, D.Gianciracusa and Brent Harvey. We still have the fitness and have kept the pace, both good signs. Do you think we have those 3-4 players capable of putting up a winning score though.

They started at 1.9 each.
Australia is now 2 to win.
Ireland 1.8.

The Squad

Any value? Perhaps in some multis?

Ireland deserve to be 1.70 but it's hard to say as we haven't seen them play.
I wouldn't read too much into last years series.
If you're not sure as most of us aren't, wait for the second game.

I've taken Ireland at 2.0 on the basis of home ground and that it might take Australia a while to get used to the game, Ireland now into 1.75.
But to be honest, apart from Tadgh Kennely i don't know a hell of a lot about them.

I didn't watch it but Ireland won by 6 points which suggests the odds were about right. I probably won't bet on game 2 but the odds should be about the same, 1.7 v 2.10+
Did you have a bet Harro?

Wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.
It's just like betting on 2 year olds that haven't trialled- you've got bugger all form to work off.

Go down to the casino and put it all on black...

You mean most runs in the series?
I placed those bets before the series began, haven't seen many bookies re-open that market.

For the second IR game i think Australia would be value if 2.00 or better, by all reports Ireland pinched the first game right at the death. Australia were the better team for most of the game apparently. If you watched it you'd have a better idea than me though. Who were you leaning towards in game 1 and game 2?

Misread it. I thought it was for the game - the highest score for a batsman.

Game 1 I was on the Australia. I just felt (and that's all you could do as there was no real form to go on with only 7 of the Aussies having gone on the tour before) that with Australia opting to ditch the AA criteria for selection and having a cutom made squad that the days of a tight series were over. Evidently I was wrong.
Not that it is important, but that ground had never seen an IR game before either.
I'm liking Australia in the second game pending on selections to made on the squad.

I've had a few bets on reality tv just for fun, NZ idol backed the winner, without watching any of it.
Despite scarcely watching it i've got a few outright bets running on Dancing with the stars and Aus idol and usually have a small flutter on evictions, just to keep it interesting.
UK sports personality got Clarke at 12/1 now 1.85.

Nothing too serious just a bit of fun money, i've done ok in these markets in the past.

Picked the eyes out of that one.
All went to plan, Ireland win the first game narrowly, australia win the second. good 'value' call starz.
