Iranian Uprising

Oh lordy, you've jumped up on your high horse to deliver this one. How's the weather up there?

Any number of people killed by their own government is too many, of course.

tl;dr

I'd say this is closer to the correct number.

Why not just link to the article, instead of this amateur paraphrasing?

Here: https://www.theguardian.com/global-...ll-disappeared-bodies-mass-burials-30000-dead

Spare me, please.

You asked an AI, don't even try and deny it. The UN expert's estimation was 5,000 - your AI tried to tell us it was 20,000.

At least you're not trying to pretend a Saudi news network quoting fantasy figures form London was legit.

I didn't claim Mai Sato was an AI you dumbarse - when I went to the trouble of tracking down your sources, AI had fudged the numbers.

You're boxing at shadows champion. I asked you where you got your figures, you gave AI slop, and now you've gone troppo out of embarrassment.

Next question for you - how many Americans do you think the police / ICE / ATF etc would kill if there was a foreign-sponsored widespread violent protest and attempted overthrow of the US government?
If you state 3000 is too much then what is your point? Especially since later you admit it's probably 17000 (for some reason you are very dismissive of on the ground medical experts extrapolation estimates which predict much higher but at this point the magnitudes dont really matter any more for how should one respond to the situation).

You also seem to be trying to make irrelevant points that even if true dont change anything about what one should think about the situation. Why are you making them?

As an example. Just becuse you used Ai to find some source doesn't mean other people did. Not that it should be an issue anyway if AI is used or not as long as the source is real. Which they are. Your aren't disputing the sources. Yet you some how seem to think you are making a point that discredits them? How is your brain coming to such a conclusion?

I asked you a simple question - I wasn't making any point, you just went off on a rant.

I think 5000 is probably the closest, as does your UN expert Mai.

Here's a point.

It's a horrific situation, but that the US/Israel were actively fomenting and arming unrest in Iran is patently obvious and has been covered in this thread already.

It's an unfortunate reality, but I'm not sure how people expected the Iranian authorities to respond to violent protests and attacks on them? If protestors attacked police stations in the US and killed hundreds of police officers during riots - how do you think the US authorities would respond? With restraint? You think they'd join in? Switch sides?

Regardless, thanks to this horrific situation they've helped engineer - they can now count on the support of yourself and millions like you, to go ahead and bomb Iranian schools, police stations, parliament buildings, pharmaceutical facilities, hospitals, petrol stations and now residential areas with 2,000lb bombs.

Nobody is claiming the Iranian regime are good, or that the Iranian people don't deserve better, but do you see how easily you've been manipulated into actively supporting the further execution of thousands of civilians, the engineered descent of Iran into sectarian civil war, and the Syria- or Balkanisation of Iran - a strategic goal of Israel for 75 years?

Nobody is hiding these facts - here's some clues:

I didn't use AI for anything, that was you. I can read and form my own opinions.

The AI's sources were indeed real - one was worthless, and your AI told a fib about the other one. If you still can't understand that, I'm afraid we're at an impasse.

People like to pretend the protests were occurring in a vacuum, and not in the wake of US and Israeli strikes, threats, economic sanctions and open incitement to revolt.

If the US were put under this pressure, ICE would have slaughtered more than Iran did.
Tiananmen square all over again, but China were too much for the US to take on.

Did you ever see an Israeli bombing you didn't enjoy?
Massive levels of projection from a guy who was gleefully trying to tell me how the iron dome won't save Israel if Iran get serious. Are they serious yet?
