Couldn't. Agree. More.

I especially liked the host taking a big bite out of the 'bell pepper' and acting like he really enjoyed it.:p

"Bell Peppers...if my memory serves me correctly..."

Yeah, a great show - funny and makes me hungry at the same time (but they tend to pick that Chen Kenichii guy all the time - he's half chef, half artist).

A mate came back from a working holiday in Japan a few years back telling me of the greatest Cooking show ever.

All it was he said was a bunch of near-naked or very VERY skimpy bikini clad girls and some comedian (there's a downside to everthing I guess) who instead of doing any actual cooking just sat around and talked about cooking (while being near-naked and/or dressed in skimpy bikini's).

Now THATS the show I want SBS to bring out (or at least as a replacement for IronChef when it ends).

What can I say - it is television perfection!

I have to sneak watching it because the wife loathes it. Lets hope that a lame Aussie version is not made.

As Paul Fenech says - you've got to love SBS; Wogs, Nude Chicks and Iron Chef - good docos too!

Weirdly enough, IC Italian doesn't show up until the 1997 episodes, but we're only seeing 1994 at the moment! (and IC Japanese will also be replaced twice before then)

The commentary is scary close to the original.... Japanese TV always has two or three cliched male announcers and then a slightly dopey token female who laughs at their lame jokes and such....

It's a kack. They even keep the exact tone of voice and weird Japanese jokes that don't translate :)

Using Kazaa.

Didn't mind the show, but not as good as I'd hoped, from all the hype. Perhaps it seems a bit more mundane to me, as I live in Japan.

I like the way that show reminds me of a gentle breeze near the onset of spring, just after the late winter frosts have cleared, and when the fragrant ajisai are just blossoming for the first time!
