I hadn't realised I'd made such a good point. I like it and will use it again. Thanks for that.

Cheers....Be my guest.

Seems some are more satisfied at being Cosmic Orphans, rather than be woven into the fabric of our conscious universe....Faustian.

P35 maybe thinking that or it might be thinks the evolution theory we have now maybe be quite different from the one in a hundred years time. I lost track of you guys awhile back. All I know about evolution is from the " Web of Life" year 10. ..those best suited to their environment pass on their genes and sometimes a genetic mistake can create an advantage" I'm sure it's moved on since then.
No he didnt, look up on his posts, he even went on claiming that peer review committee is 'boys club' cause it doesnt suit his 'criteria' of a theory. So he doesnt believe in science, he knows the objective truth already

Brother, I'm worried about your blood pressure.
I envision you having a stroke as you furiously smash the keyboard.

Take a breath.

Button-mashing, frothing at the mouth atheism at it's finest.
Is that the objective truth? :D

In this, you made several claims, unable to backup any single one them from pure denial to flat out refusal in answering any questions posed by several posters here. Heck your position of "objective truth" is so ridiculous, its only you whose making insane claims in this thread. Ever realised that objective truth should be easy to prove if its "objective"? If i were you i will take whatever little pride i have left and move to a different board like the conspiracy, mystery and paranormal board. I think you will rock there, honestly. :D

my whole adult life it has continually amazed me that we humans have such a problem with the statements "i don't know" or "i was wrong" both with uttering those words themselves and deriding anyone who says them.

i don't know if there is some sort of omnipresent creator out there.
i don't know if our planet was seeded by an advanced alien species from another galaxy.
i don't know if life started via a chemical/energy reaction in some primordial soup billions of years ago.

i do know that a large portion of humanity over thousands of years have believed in the creator option but i have still yet to experience or hear/read proof of it. science has had far less time but in my view it has provided more realistic proven/peer reviewed scientific theories that have and are continuing to unravel the mysteries of life and its origins although i could be wrong.

.
This is the problem with religious fundies, are they ever wrong? how can people say they have the "objective truth" when we know nothing about the universe really? science will never be the objective truth for that reason and neither will philosophy regardless what fundies like p35 would like to believe.

You love your generalizations, presumptions, sleight of hands & hyperbole...I'll give you that....You should try your hand at acting, or the circus even.
This post explains religion and god and the belief in god and religion perfectly.
Well done you've finally arrived at the start-line.
Unfortunately ol chap, the race has already been run and was won and lost.
Your side lost.
Better luck next ti.....lol there won't be a next time.
Reading your nonsense is like listening to this master of the universe. And this peanut actually has a seat in our parliament.

That's why god and religion exist.
It's only sole purpose.
Somewhere for immature minds to place their trust and (******* lol) faith.
You feel you need and deserve a universal nappy change and teat.
Here have a pat on the back, you have a bit of wind.

got this from the evolution thread. i urge those interested in the origins of life to have a look and open your mind. all based on already known science and knowledge based extrapolation. take 11 minutes out of your life and have a look, highly recommended.

Yes Jase,I think I've posted that exact line numerous times when trying to explain religion and god complex.
Cheers on all your work around here.:thumbsu:
It's a difficult task dragging the unevolved out of the primordial soup, but we did it once and will have to until they finally open their collectively eyes wide shut.
It's our moral obligation.:)

Been an atheist for a long time.

To me the thread title needs to lose the quotation marks.

Religion is is still as strong as ever it has simply changed it's clothing. There are plenty of quasi religious belief structures that you can join that will happily tell how what you can say and think.

They won't give you eternal life or 72 virgins but you can still claim moral superiority for belonging to them.

Just to help you out... here are both of your replies to my one quote...

So I've no idea why you're lying, and saying that you're just replying to my quote from an alert in your alert box...

And there was nothing in my post that you quoted, that stated that agnostics were cowards.

I think you've just sipped too heavily on the bong water.

I know what you said
Why can't I go back into my alert/quote/post history to regurgitate what you said.....its all blocked lmao

I rewrote a short book by reading it upsidedown when I was a kid, changed the M's to W's, the p's to b's that kind of thing... and the entire thing made more sense than any of your post.
