as for belt wearing. i reckon its to do with a comfort factor. helps user feel comfy and confident.
Ya reckon? If I try to sit with mine it can dig into my hips. It's generally fine for lifting... so that's all that mattered to me. Couldn't imagine wearing one the whole time. Not to mention it's better a bit tight for the bigger lifts imo.

have been trying out early morning sessions. different people i must say than my usual 8pm seshes. i reckon ppl are still in sleep mode and not as engaging as those in the evening. busier in the morning also, but a more serious feel to the place.

I find that people are more engaging early in the morning as opposed to late at night; however I think that may have more to do with the fact that I'm unsocial and not a morning person.

I'm definitely the person still in sleep mode.

I've noticed a new person at my gym of late evenings who was definitely a bodybuilder in the 90s and kept the fashion going. Tights, bodybuilder weight belt on the entire time, garish stringer, do-rag.

Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE THIS GUY! He's like a time machine!

What does annoy me is he's a little too talkative and eager to help others.

I have been doing morning work outs since i started my new job in late May, i have enjoyed only 1-2 other guys in there using the weights and couple of females using machines, so max 5-6 people at one time. Went last week at night for the times in weeks, it was busy lucky i was doing leg day and all the brahs were skipping leg day again :p

I saw another bloke, typical skinny fat newbie (good on him for being in the gym and having a go) "using" a belt, i saw "using" because it wasn't even tight enough to give any support. He was also doing chest exercises 15-20kg DB's on a flat or slight incline bench. No need for a belt.....which moves me to my next topic, he also had gloves on. I dunno about you guys, but i don't see the need for blokes to wear gloves.

While i'm at it, no need for padding on the bar when squatting!

I'm sick of girls who only work their legs/ass. I come into gym every day and nearly all the squat racks and barbells are in use by girls trying to get a phatter ass. They're equivalent to curlbros, yet beta males treat them like goddesses because of the whole "she squats bro" culture. I come in the next day and all the same girls are doing all the same exercises. They might occasionally do some shitty exercise on a machine like 5x50 lat pulldowns, but for most the part, they're ******* annoying.

I hate flogs who use the speed ball as well. They're nearly always skinny too. Nobody is impressed - it's just loud and ******* annoying.

I don't mind loud lifters but I hate people who breathe loudly. There's one guy who always uses the boxing bag. He doesn't even punch it. He just slaps it really loudly and goes JZZZZ SHHHHHHHH JZZZZZZZZZZZ SHHHH SH SH SH SHHHHHHHH SHHH SH SH. campaigner.

There's a fat version of Steven Seagal at my gym who always walks around really slowly like a hard campaigner. He always goes heavy but he does little quick quarter reps. Then he walks around like he's a boss after his sets and does some weird tai chi triangle meditation thing with his arms. He does the same routine every single session. Bench, curls, ab crunch machine.

There's a wog campaigner who also does the walking around slow and checking himself out in the mirror shit too. He works his legs like once a fortnight and he looks totally ridiculous. I really need to fight him.

Another guy who annoys me is some old African guy who is a hardcore OCD germaphobe. He doesn't touch anything unless he's got a bit of paper towel in his hands. He comes in, sprays down the top of lockers, lays some paper towels down and then puts his bag on it. It's so frustrating watching him go about his routine. He spends half the time fiddling around with the paper towel in his hands so that he doesn't come into contact with anything. He goes to bathroom to wash his hands nearly every 10 minutes.

There's also a guy who carries around a big Coles cooler bag with him. He has like 4 different shakers in there. Snapback douche.

The last guy who annoys me is some guy who looks like Glenn Maxwell/Gareth Bale. I don't why he annoys me but I just ******* hate him so much.
