In fairness when I posted it on here where I could get it still online, it was still available and cheap too for about $130 down from $200. Home Gyms were completely sold out within 48hrs of the Govt announcement.

Rebels Sport and other Gym Warehouses have been pummeled and emptied out of weights, plates the lot.

Ive seen some fence off. Big deal, I wear gloves and keep my distance. I would however jump a fence to use one.

indeed... temporary fencing is the easiest thing to get past as is shown by the theft rates at construction sites... but it does show your intention if you do get caught there; e.g. you can't play dumb.

Whats the fence meant to signify? There must be signs and if signs present I need them highly visible from every angle.

Plus cops will ask you to first politely leave. Act like a campaigner, yes fines will happen. If you say sorry and leave they wont fine you.:think:

Plus if I run from the cops I get my cardio in for the other. Hope they can keep up, I run 5kms easily. :$
 
plus, I was alone and staying decent distances (5m+) away from everybody else there and only one other adult was using the adult-specific equipment haha... also wiping down every surface I touched before and after use :)

Stage 3 came into affect last night, at midnight.

You are right they won't police it, they may not even have anything more than a sign. But the government is asking you to stay home to help contain the virus, what makes you more entitled than the next person to break the rules?

You can also drive 10kms over the speed limit if you want to, there is nothing stopping you from doing that but the majority of people observe the limit to keep everyone safe.
 
I get to a park yesterday to do pull ups etc using the playground equipment, which incidentally is banned for everyone.

Anyways kid comes there along with his mum. Kid must be about 8 years old, he begins to troll me and starts coughing and smiling at me. A solid 15-20m away. I decided to cough back furiously (because Im tough lol), he ran so fast back to his mum it was so funny. :$
 
Finishing up my park session this morning, Ben Brown and Tom Campbell rock up. Seems the players are taking the 2-person max limit seriously. Always liked BTC.

If 1 on 1 training is allowed and exercising via running/jogging is allowed then surely if I go by myself (which I always do for my workouts), wipe down my public surfaces before and after and make sure I stay far enough away from anybody else to transmit the virus (assuming I'm infected, which I'm fairly confident I'm not), then I'm doing my due diligence with regard to the others in society. Add on top of that the likelihood of somebody being immuno-compromised and using an outdoor gym is fairly low in the first place, so I will continue to do what I'm doing and endanger nobody.

Its a vexed situation. I know closely, no live with, an immuno compromised person. would i use an outdoor gym? No, probably not. Cant speak for others.

I reckon you're right to go.

Indeed. I'm not socialising with anybody with a known ailment that would put them at higher risk of this virus doing a lot of harm during this trying time (other than unknowns at the supermarket, but that's unknowable and impossible to prevent) so I feel extremely safe. I take anti-bacterial spray and wipes for the equipment so I'm doing my bit to prevent it spreading to both me and anybody else who uses the equipment after me. Everything else is self-contained from my house to my car to the outdoor gym.
