Is anyone still supporting Headland?

I was having a go at people who made comments without proof by doing exactly the same thing. People who said the comments were racial had no proof and turned out to be wrong.

I dont recall anyone saying that it WAS racial. I remember someone saying they thought it may have been, theres a big difference you narrow minded dick weed.

There was at least one. And i'm not sure why you would even start a thread about it with no evidence about the situation whatsoever?

If you read the original post and not just the title than you would see where i'm coming from. Either way if the comments about his daughter are as bad as they could be than that could possibly be even worse than any racial comments.

I've heard two different reports. One was that he said something about Headland's daughter, the other was that Selwood made negative comments about a family member of a Fremantle player.

So I reckon he's either pointed to Dessie's tattoo of his daughter and said she's an ugly ****, or said something about Farmer's missus or Jonno's dad.

How can he be overrated? People constantly saying how sh8t they think he is means he isnt rated that highly.

He is over rated by just about everyone who posts something on here, everytime i start to bag Des everyone gets up me for bagging him with no evidence or stats to back me up...

My disappointment with the Headland Haters is their selective perception. They just focus on Headland and says he's carp and don't actually look at the form of JLo, Crowley, Mundy, Hasleby, Grover, Hayden, Gilmour, McPharlin, and Solomon all of whom played a worse game than he did.

When Dessie had his purple patch at Brisbane he was in a team that was at its peak, and everyone else was winning their position. Gppd teams make everyone look good.

As was illustrated by the stats, Schammer and Dessie are about the same -- except Dessie is far more dangerous with his precision passing, and his tackles are stronger. Yet Schammer gets upsized into a saviour while Dessie is a sinner. It's not logically consistent.

And if you think Headland will be going back to Subi before Crowley, you need your head read.

The problem I have with Dessie is his laid back nature on the field. He always seems to be cruising around in 2nd gear. Headland and Mundy need to find some urgency, I can't think of anyone in the successfull Sydney, west coast or Brisbane sides that cruise around like they do. Longmuir can be put into the same category, even when fully fit he lacks intensity. McPharlin had the same problem chasing those kicks from Dodd, hopefully he was called into CC's office this morning and shown the tape, because he should be ashamed of those 2 incidents. Hayden also needs to find the eye of the tiger, he had a very poor game defensively.

While Hasleby, Gilmore, Grover, Crowley and Solomon made errors, their endeavour was good. Solomon had a shocker though, if he plays that poorly next week he will have his critics.

If Schammer hasn't improved when he enters his 9th season he will come under scrutiny, and rightly so. Although his intensity is already superior to Headland, who to me looks like football isn't very high on his list of priorities.

Is that in the same thread where you criticise people for having a go at our midfield? Or the one where you criticise Walker? Or the one where you criticise Gilmore?

Walker had a good game compared to a lot of our list, Gilmore was reasonable although his turnovers cost us dearly. Headland has had servicable games so far this year, but the derby was ordinary, meaning not at an acceptable standard.

Do you seriously think Headland played better than Grover, Haselby, Gilmore, Crowley and McPharlane?

I have dragged this to the top again. I've watched the tape and Scham is right -- I have no idea. Dessie was ordinary relative to these other guys.

I'm just frustrated that Dessie gets singled out when we clearly have a team problem.
