Vardy and Jarman are twice as worse as CCC. Vardy prances around like the egomaniac that he is...thinks he is gods gift of footballers. Proves how up himself he really is when he gives the crowd the bird in two of the last three games he has played.
Jarman, you seen him after every goal he kicks?? Even if its a simple goal from 2 metres out he will lean back arms in the air like "give me a hug im a hero"

Absolutely.
I hated him when he played with us. A great moment in the history of the Essendon Footy Club when we sacked him. He was an embarrassment to the Bomber jumper.

As well as bein' the biggest show pony in the league he's also the softest and laziest footballer i've seen.

Only time he ever performed for Essendon was when his contract was up for renewal. Played 80 odd games with us and would've been lucky to have played 10 decent games.
Bloody soft****.

where's wally?

He gets excited when he kicks a goal. No more than Vardy or Jarman does!

85 games, 109 goals. Sh!t! Id be happy to play 85 games and kick 109 goals. Its a good record for the "softest player". I usuppose you think Moorcroft is a good player tho right?? Wouldnt surprise me. I wouldnt mind kicking 109 goals at a forward flank

you have proven you arent a true supporter. How about you get out there and give it a go and Im sure you would be worse. The cocky is a legend

What's your'e definition of a 'true supporter'? I've been attending Essendon games since i was 9 years old (23 years).
If that's not loyalty, i dunno what is.

So according to you a 'true supporter' has to give unconditional support to his players does he? Even if he is crap? Sorry, i can't cop that.

All i'm sayin' is for a player for his 'reputation' and considering the opinion he has of himself he was a major disappointment in his time at Essendon.

i actually think its insipring to see a player with so much passion and i dont understand why you people dont like it.
There is nothing wrong with a player getting excited when he scored a goal. After all these boy's dreams came true and they are passionate about it! I dont see any of you going out on the footy field, playing at the highest lever scoring goals... if u did maybe you'll know where those players are coming from.
Non of you know what the players go throught every week before they get on that field and i think that they should be allowed to demonstrate their excitment if they wish!

GO DEES!

Moorcroft is not the best player in our side, but at least he's prepared to do things like chase, tackle and harass. That's 3 more strings to his bow than Mr. Cockatoo-Collins has in his game.

The guy has had two years in the wilderness getting his back and hammies right and putting in big in the pre-season, and is playing every game as if it is his last. So he shows a little passion when he kicks a goal - he worked hard to be able to! Get off his back and complain about something worthwhile.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with it... it is great to see players play with controlled emotions.

I think at Essendon and in his 1st couple of years at Port he was very inconsistant and wasn't interested in the 1% things. This year so far he seems to be playing differently and looks like he is a lot more of a team orientated player. It might be due to the fact he is viewing this year as his last and so he is giving it everything and leaving nothing to chance.

This year he does look like a completely different player who is out there giving his all and enjoying his life and the game... something IMO other footballers forget about.

Good luck too him and others who play the game for fun.

Wally, Moorcroft at best is an average player at a great club, he looks pretty good when there are good players around him taking the pressure off him. Stick him in the Dockers side and see how good he would look then.

To say CCC doesn't chase, tackle or harass means that you have never seen him play. I have seen him do all of the above. He is a valuable asset to our foward line and I have no problems with him. While he is playing well for Port we are always a chance of kicking 20+ goals a game something we have had trouble doing in the past.

Moorcroft doesn't have anywhere near the class or skill that CCC has. So if you are happy with Moorcroft in your team then good luck to you because I'm happy with CCC in my team.

if only port wouldve taken guys like symonds, doolan, oconnor, calthorpe and somerville, they'd now have the complete "ex-essendon-hack" collection.

Carb,
I never said Moorcroft was a star. Just pointing out to your friend Macca 19 his willingness to do the 1% ers. Something Che rarely bothered to display during his career with us.

You think i never saw CCC play?
Mate, i watched him play for 4 years and stand by my observation that he was a very lazy footballer..a very skilful footballer, but nonetheless..very,very lazy. I'm sure the majority of Essendon supporters would have similar views.

Havin' said that..i have noticed he seems to be workin' a lot harder this year (not before time) and good luck to him.
But yeah, i'll take Moorcroft over 'the cocky' anyday.

C'mon Arch why would we waste our time taking players like that from Essendon when we can get players like Wanganeen and give Essendon nothing for him.

By the way Arch, O'Connor is currently playing for Port Adelaide in the SANFL.

we will take kingsley as well whilst we are at it....for nought....having played 75 games in the Bombers reserves.

Michael Tuck Medal....hmmmmmmm

Thanks Kev

crap?? He kicked 109 goals in 85 games..he was your third highest goalkicker in 1996.

Again...answer me...do you think Gary Moorcroft is a good player?

So you like Moorcroft, but you dont like Cockatoo-Collins. Moorcroft is one of the most useless footballers around. Cockatoo is playing great footy this year. He is chasing, he is tackling and most importantly, he is fit. Is it you are jealous that he is playing good footy for us? Maybe youd like to go out there and do better?
In 3 games this year he has picked up 47 touches, kicked 8 goals and laid 6 tackles plus got the ball inside our 50m on 15 occasions.
Grow up...there is more lazy and greedy players out there than Cockatoo. Look at Lucas for an example of lazy and greedy
