Personally, I don't think he's much chop and his last special was probably his worst. How he got as far as he did with a bit of shouting and saying campaigner a lot is the real mystery here. Guys like Jesselnik and Boyle manage the schtick far, far better.

His last special is pretty ordinary.

Anthony Jeselnik is brilliant. Similarly offensive but very dry and measured in his delivery.

Some of the harshest, most un-PC comics are still doing well for themselves. Frankie Boyle is hilarious and his stature just seems to keep growing, Jimmy Carr another. Bill Burr is huge.

Frankie Boyle is a poor man’s Sadowitz but very funny nonetheless.

Look Sadowitz up mate, he was the guy who outed Jimmy Savile and it cost him 20 years of his career. Disillusioned, he went “underground” and actively removes any of his material from the internet so you won’t find anything recorded. But his interviews and backstory are fascinating reading.

He’s the best comic I have ever seen live...and that includes the likes of Robin Williams, Seinfeld, Jimmy Carr, Chris Rock, Jeffries and quite a few other greats. And he’s the best I have seen by a very long way. Plus he is one of the greatest close up magicians alive and he works card tricks into his awfully obscene but frightfully funny act.

Whilst Australian comedy has succumbed to the pressure to be PC, US comedy is in a great place at the moment, British as well.

Probably answered your own question. Indigenous people make up a small minority of the population so there is probably a limited target market for the sort of indigenous comedy you see on ABC/NITV. But then we have had plenty of ethnic comedians doing ethnic jokes so it's not like it's a WASP's game. I've seen a few indigenous stand ups take the piss out of their own people and I don't know what the appetite is among the woke for that. If a black person makes fun of black people and black people laugh, as a white person it must be racist if I laugh. Etc.

I think he is Malaysian. But he grew up in multiple places and works here and in the US so is a citizen of the world really. Married an Australian so probably lives here now.
