Lots of expensive things are gettable, without being wantable.

This is exactly it. No one is saying he’s a spud. But there is just no way he’s worth a million a season for 6 years. That is for the Fyfe, Dusty, Buddy, Danger, Ablett level players.
I can name 25 or 30 players in the AFL straight away off the top of my head better than conoglio. He is a quality player. But just not in the very top league of players that’s all. As I said earlier I don’t see him winning an AA in his career.

In a way I was surprised he didn't get in the AA team last year. He was averaging 26 disposals a game and helped get GWS to a granny

The real question is whats going on at a club that made a GF last year then doesnt make the finals and drops its newly appointed captain? Somethings not right at GWS. Being the captain says he played a significant part in their slide. And why would he turn his back on a huge deal? It would hurt his image even further.
He's not even gettable even if Freo were crazy enough to chase him.

Is Steve Coniglio gettable? After being named Captain and then being dropped last week, does anyone think he may be a little more open to a move west? Before people say he is a former Wiggles supporter etc etc, money talks and the Wiggs would struggle to fit him in ,salary wise and picks.
I absolutely think he is worth an enquiry during trade time. Fire at will!

Coniglio's obviously an upgrade on Darcy Tucker. The problem is that he's not 4 times better than Darcy Tucker but he'd demand 4 times the salary.

We don't need to go looking for a star midfielder. We're just done a full rebuild and already have our future midfield.

Darcy - Brayshaw - Cerra - Serong - Tucker

They're not A Graders at the moment but that's the plan. I'm confident these boys have it in them to step up.

Aish and Acres. More confident in Aish but let's see how both settle in after a very unusual first year.

Ruck/fwd (Lobb) and small forwards the biggest issue imo.
