I see Brett Lee finally retired from Australian Cricket. About 4 years too late in my eyes.

Finished reading his book a month or so ago and I think this sums him up perfectly...

Punter decided to give the new ball to Mitchell Johnson to open the bowling rather than give it to Lee. Lee cracked the shits like a little schoolkid and let it effect his bowling. He openly admits it in the book.

I mean, what a weak minded individual he was really. Who cares who opens the bowling/takes the wickets. You work as a team.

Never was a huge Brett Lee fan, always came across as a bit of a look-at-me type bloke.

Should have been sent to pasture a while ago, but sadly, that is the state of aussie cricket.

I think that as a rule, we should be sending our young bats to England for at least 3 seasons of county cricket before considering them for test cricket. Let them learn their game before putting it to the ultimate test of test cricket.
