Reckon Watson plays better when he has the quicks to deal with first up. Batting at 6, he could come in on a bunsen burner.

Can't see them moving Watson unless he has a massive form slump. Haven't looked at his batting stats recently, so could be way off track, but it seems he's off the boil a little in terms of big scores, but he's bowling better than ever. linked??... and would his all round game benefit from a shift down. won't happen, but interesting to speculate.

I wonder how the new regime will deal with Mitchell "the human bowling machine" Johnson. He'd have just about used up all his credits, particularly now he doesn't bring much with the bat. Previous South African tour may save him for another test or two.

Newlands is a fantastic cricket ground. Seen a few tests there and had a ball. Most beautiful setting imaginable.
