There is no doubt that he got a tingle from Bingle.

So would that make him stiff or limp?

Clarke, at his peak, is a majestic batsman. I saw that century he hit against India years ago and it was magnificent. His Ashes series over there was also very impressive. He's been crap for the last couple of test series, and I'm not sure what the answer is, or if there is a way back. But I will say this: if he's in form, Clarke is a very, very good batsman.

Lord Mud may very well have a point. That shot he tonight to be dismissed was very odd. Almost like he couldn't pivot his body to get the power and angle he needed.

Yes, well spotted, LMoG. A bad back would go some way to explaining his shaky technique at the moment.

I know it's only one day stuff, but gee, it's nice to see Australia win again. Maybe it will be the springboard to success again, like 1987.

If its the back, WHY BLOODY PLAY HIM in these mickey mouse games? Why not give him the first four off and bring him for the back-end so to speak.

Anyone else get the feeling that Cam White needs to be unleashed instead of poking about?

Yep:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Anyone see that Cummins kid last night? A bit of potential there I'd say. Didn't seem to do much with it in the air, but bowled quick and a good length. Whippy action like Gillespie... as a batsman, they come on quicker than you expect.

A tug of war was alluded to between the Centre for Excellence and Cricket NSW. What a farce and inditement of our current system if true.

From NSW you say? Surprised he isn't in the Test team already....

People are talking him up over on the cricket board. haven't heard anything about him.

Throwing them down in the mid 140's at 17 is going to get a lot of people excited. Seeing him last night, it was his consistency and control that stood out. He's no Sean Tait, that's for sure. He's going to feel a yard or two quicker to the batsman with his action too.

Nothing more than a very good prospect at this stage though.

Did anyone see Chris Gayle innings in the 20-20 big bash like 92 off 35 odd balls great exhibition of timing

He sure can hit a ball. It was funny in comparison watching the guy at the other end winding up and struggling to hit it off the square.

Something that is grinding my gears is the piss poor coverage all season by C9.

I don't want to see the look on the bowlers face as the ball races away.

Just count how many times you DON'T see the ball. They love flicking to a wanky cutaway shot.

FFS, have the batters shown in picture in picture running down the pitch and the ball in the rest of the screen.

Roebuck talked him up in today's Age. Sounds intriguing. To catch someone's eye in clown cricket is no mean feat.

Bait: Stephen smith is sh$t!
I think as our Foreign Affairs minister he wasn't too bad. Only time will tell if he'll be a good Defence minister.

Very dull colourless voice though. Doesn't have a great personality when interviewed.

World Cup predictions anyone? We'll struggle to make the semi finals in my opinion. It's a weak squad.

There are that many good squads.

Semi-finallists. India and South Africa to play off for the title.

I love it how GH comes back to bump his old threads to keep them going....

646 posts in this thread, how many needless posts by you?

Shaun Tait..... You suck.

One great ball to get rid of Strauss though.
