Provides nothing offensively and probably isn't going to be back to his best defensively. But we'll wait and see.

I just think if hes getting games it means one of our other defenders have season ending injuries.

Or they're having a 2-3 week injury? Or maybe one of the others needs a rest? Suspension maybe? Seriously...where's the logic? MacKenzie is our 3rd best option as a tall defender and it's a long season.

He's a much better one on one defender than Barrass too, so we wouldn't lose anything much if Tom was out for a few weeks after the bye.

We have a really good squad with depth in every position, and Eric is part of that depth. There is absolutely nothing to fear from the notion of him getting a few games.

Honestly at times this year i've felt like we've missed a lock down KPD and tbh gov's and barrass's years have been pretty disappointing so far. That said don't really expect Emac to come in unless there's injuries.

what if gov or barrass miss a week or 2 . Having schoey and emac ready to come in and play that role is very important . It takes 30 players to win a premiership over the course of the season

Except he won't because he'll kick it to a contest outside 50 near the boundary because he's a consummate professional.

Honestly in a cut throat final Emac stuffing up is right down the bottom of my list of worries somewhere below the stadium being struck by a solid gold asteroid shaped like a llama.

Cos no worries about the goals he leaks against Buddy, Jack and Dixon.

Mackenzie only turned 30 yesterday.
Missed a couple of years with injury so body has been spared a little bit of the riggers of 22 games a year.
Would love to have him sitting in the wings as a lock down defender on the monster forwards for a couple of seasons.
We tend to forget how good a player he was before his injury.
Admittedly he struggled with the change in how our defence played on returned but put in a credible last half of the season last year.

Yeah I know, all of these posts have been very tongue in cheek. I would love for EMac to smash back into the side and displace Barrass as long as he’s playing consistently well - which he unfortunately hasn’t been able to do post-acl.

He’s vital as backup along with Schofield though. Hopefully his presence will inspire Barrass to really focus

You have to wonder how well emac would have come back if hed got the super dooper recovery camp in the us that nn got.
