The Eagles were nothing before they got a terrific coach in Malthouse. We had Alexander and Todd

Freo had Neesham who was nothing better than a reasonable state side coach and now have Drum who is very mediocre.
IMHO A new top class coach is what Freo needs.

Why are all the boots going into Freo? Sure, they played a shocker, but they were very good the week before.

The Shockers weren't the only substandard performers on the weekend. How about last year's Grand Final teams? The Bummers haven't looked like a footy team all year, and Melbourne got absolutely slaughtered.

Yes, yes, they're practice matches - so the same applies for Freo. They had a bad one, it cost them nothing, since after the Hawthorn result they couldn't make the semis either. So what's the damage?

They've got a lot of good young talent - Haselby, Pavlich, Schell, etc, and I'd take their midfield over ours any day (I'd take any midfield over ours any day, but I digress). Lay off the Shockers, they're alright.

I wouldnt be too quick to judge the players Collingwood picked up from Frmeantle being James Clement and Brodie Holland.

Sure they couldnt get a regular senior game, but how many games did Bell play first time round with the Dockers ?? I believe it was only 2 games and he seemed to perform well after this.
