LOL... The red nose and big funny shoes are over there....-> Clown time.

For the first time since 99 we are not getting fisted by playing home games at 3 different stadiums LOL.

And you call it "still the best deal in football"

Best deal since when, 25 minutes ago when the 2018 fixture came out?

Oh ok..

Well if you count a home game as one against someone else who shares that oval.
Nobody else does.

In reality interstate teams get home advantage 10 times a season.
You get it 9 times.

Just no leg to stand on in this argument.

Shares? We play against sides who play there regularly, it ain't our home ground.

This thread is boggling my mind. Or is it just the Adel numpties who are failing to grasp basic common sense?

What a bunch of dense individuals.

I'm sorry I must've missed that other AFL team that plays at Kardinia Park regularly.

You are one of 5 teams that doesn't share your home ground.
The other 4 all travel interstate every 2nd week.

Now let me hear you somehow tell me that isnt true.

You were referencing the MCG, not KP.

You get 12 home games and share your ground with Port - that nullifies two games per year for both of you, so now you're down to 11 true home games.

Still more than us.

Dare I bring up the fact you get home finals too? Or is that too obvious...

Or 10? 12-2 is 10.
One more than you.
And then every 2nd week we jump on a plane, train somewhere foreign and sleep in a public hotel.
We do that 11 times a season. You do it 5 times a season.

There is no way you can splice it where Geelong end up worse off.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it. Fact of the comp, but its unbelievable that your supporters still complain when all things considered you have the best set-up.

12-2 does = 10. You play Port twice per year though, one home game each, yeah?

So it's 11.

Best deal every year.
I've gone over why. If you cant read or comprehend thats not my problem.

Sounds like a house of cards argument to me... and down they come.

Only team who plays home games at someone else’s home ground not by choice.

Yeah it’s sweeet

So it's 11.
We get 10 games against non-AO sides, 2 home games at a shared venue, and 10 games at an opponents venue. Same for all non-Victorian sides. So we have 10 'true' home games, as I understand your definition.

You get 9 'true' home games (at KP against other sides that only play there when they play you), 3 home games at a shared venue, and 10 at the opponent's venue (which might be the same as your 'shared' venue).

I believe that's DangerSloane's logic.

Sydney, GWS, Brisbane and Gold Coast get a true 11/11 split.

Except Geelong fans are the only ones that dont think you have the best deal.
Maybe its your bias that is blinding you to the truth?

It's a national competition though.

You keep saying this, yet you leave the state 5 times.
You cant have it both ways saying its a national comp, and then complain that you have to play a couple of games 1 hour drive away.

Plus its actually irrelevant. Your supporters are whinging, when in reality you have the best H+A deal in the league bar none.

The complaining isn't about playing games away from Geelong, it's about playing home games away from Geelong. It's not difficult to get your head around, truly.

Just checking, are there any teams that actually represent a state, or do they all represent cities/suburbs?

I dont know what you want me to say to that?

You say its a national competition, but over half the teams are in one state.
None of those teams should ever have a problem with the draw.

I'm still not sure what states have to do with anything in a national competition in which sides represent a city or suburb.

We're not talking about representative football here, that died a long time ago.

So you're saying that every team is a franchise?
You're saying Geelong doesnt represent Geelong?
