Coach Is Hardwick now the second best coach in the league behind Clarkson?

I've read a few comments on here that the core of Richmond's premierships sides were drafted before Hardwick was coach, so a lot of the credit should go to people before him, that he came in when Richmond were already on an upward trajectory.

What do Tiger supporters think of this?
That drafting players means s**t all. They need to be developed right and put in a system that works for them. Look at Melbourne for a good example.
The all turned into the players they are under Dimma. Lids was our only established star when Dimma came in.

Was 7 games, not 9.

Funny everyone goes on about the end of the season, but doesn't give a sh*t we played 6 games at the G in the first 16 rounds. How odd.

2017 Qualifying Final played on the MCG despite Geelong being the higher ranked team. Home advantage to Richmond despite not being earned.

2017 Grand Final played on the MCG despite Adelaide being the higher ranked team. Home advantage to Richmond despite not being earned.

Quite incredible really.

How good would West Coast be if they could finish 3rd and get a home final in the first week of the finals. Get into the Grand Final against the team that finished 1st and get gifted another home final.

Geelong have always played their home finals at the MCG, and Adelaide had an extra game at their home ground than Richmond in 2017 and they only played one of the top 4 sides away, while Richmond had to play them all away, Adelaide did not earn the minor premiership

Geelong have had no choice in playing their finals at the 'G.

Richmond had four matches over the road at Marvel as well. Jack Riewoldt probably got homesick, but nevertheless Richmond travelled far less than Adelaide then got a home advantage they didn't earn for two out of three finals.

And yet Richmond still played less games at their homeground than Adelaide, who barely played a decent side away all year

Clarko and Dimma missing the bonus matches on the MCG each season. No 9 straight matches on the 'G to end the season this year.
We actually have little to none home ground advantage against other Melbourne clubs. We do have 4 co tenants who are all in the same boat as us and also clubs that play at Marvel still play a lot of games at the G.......Geelong included who never seemed to complain while they were winning finals there. Anyway why let the truth get in the way of a good story. Go ahead with your fairytale.

So every Victorian team that plays the Grand final at the G has a home ground advantage over interstate sides. Ya don't say. Why then is only our 2017 GR tainted.

It’s the narrative the sheep continually spit out regardless if there is any truth in it. The same thing with us apparently finishing 9th all the time even though it’s only happened twice in the last 20 years.

2018 qualifying final against Hawthorn no home advantage despite finishing 1st.
2018 preliminary final against Collingwood no home advantage despite finishing 1st.
So in 2018 we finished 1st, played 2 finals and received no home ground advantage?
That ever happen to West Coast or Adelaide?

Gets called our for being wrong, doesn't reply to any of the points and starts talking about something else entirely. Nice one, bud.

You were wrong about the number of games. And you proved my point that you ignore our lack of MCG games to start the season. Because oh no that goes against your narrative.

Or 7 in last 25. I think the 9th days a long gone now though.

Hardwick is better than Clarkson.
Clarko’s first flag came from exploiting the rules that resulted in a rule change the following year.

The 3 peat from 2013-2015 was against incredibly weak opposition (apart from 2014) in an era where the competition was heavily hampered due to the expansion teams.

Hardwick should have 3 flags but unfortunately had 1 bad game at the worst possible time. He’s a great coach who rarely complains when his team loses unlike Clarkson.
