Hello fellow B&W hearts,
this is my first posting so bare with me folks while I get something off my chest.
Now us Woods get a fair hammering inbetween the inbred jokes and digs on our intelect and so on but WHAT SORT OF A MORON has us finishing bottom 4 this year.
Last year we were decimated by injury and our lack of depth was shown up. Those injuries also saw bigger responsibility put on guys like Richie Cole and Guy Richards and yes despite Guys' injury how good do those two look in Collingwood jumpers? David King has a way to go Julian Rowe looks a player and of course there was Cameron Cloke who will be a footballer.
The losses of Buckley,Tarrant,Rocca,Presti and Frase for large chunks of the year hurt no doubt but these kids that got their go are not hacks and the elevation of David Fanning WILL be a godsend to our club by seasons end.
We are well coached our forward line as we know is spectacular when on song and our defence is the best team within a team in the AFL when close to full strength. The midfield may be a little slowish but if and yeah if Leon and Reece step it up their AFL experience now means that unless they can step into that role that their futures will lay elsewhere and they have speed.
What Lica and Brody lack in pace they make up for in other areas.
The bottom line is we would have to be VERY unlucky to suffer anywhere near as much as we did last year and with that said to not consider us as a legitimate chance in 05 is an insult to what this club has achieved in the past four years.
