Most people would agree that there are a lot of crappy threads put on the forum.
One reason is that whenever someone posts a footy thought that is of lateral thought there is always someone prepared to make personal insult of it. The result is that many people just don't bother to risk posing their thoughts. Fortunately there are one or two of us that don't give a toss about the stupid little insults and go ahead anyhow, but I just wanted to let you know, ant, exactly how your negativity affects the quality of the forum.

I'm all for lateral thinking, but you make Blighty look like a conservative, conventional coach and Dan24 a traditionalist. Maybe we don't need a coach, umpires, maybe the footy should be shaped round like a soccer ball, the finals system should be abolished (god forbid),... I could go on. It doesn't mean that I'm going to go and post these ridiculous threads for the sake of generating some boring argument.

I'm all for quality, footy based threads, as many are not (I just posted one a few minutes ago), but so long as they are reasonable. I mean, of course the captain should be a player, the runner can pump up the team as much as he likes but the captain should be out there for the toss of the coin, going in hard for the ball, showing leadership. I don't see how the runner or some footy mascot on the boundary line is going to do that.

If people are going to post these pointless, innane threads, expect some people to object. These people aren't being negative, just realistic and genuine. Are they supposed to feign interest in your moronic point of view?? I didn't feel that what I said was that malicious anyway; I reckon I was right to question your mental state when you ask "Does the Captain need to be a player?"

Finally, I enjoy having you around this forum Frodo, your posts are usually "engaging". But don't tell me that just cause I don't agree with you and state my opinions clearly, my posts are affecting the quality of Bigfooty.
