I am happy to get Judd, although I question his real motive in chosing us ($$$), but I know he will show his worth on the field... hopefully...

You may be right, but Judd would have been paid a bundle whichever club he went to.

Therefore, $$ wasn't the motive.

You've been here 5 minutes, hiwirE backwards, and you come out with "you all don't seem to care that we've sucked for so long".

Go and have a look over the past 12 months at game threads after we have been belted again by 100 points. Think - then post. Every single nong on here "cares that we've sucked so long". The debates now continue to rage about how we stop sucking and begin our move up the ladder.

As for history, don't you know that those who ignore the mistakes of history are destined to repeat them?

Welcome.

Abandon all Hope.

lol .....ah, ok then.

I've been here longer than 5 minutes. I read here regularly and I've posted before, I've just had to recently register again as I forgot my details.

I know I might seem a 'bit' on the negative side, but I cannot help it. All this losing has forced it upon me.

Anyway as for those who think Judd chose us for reasons other than money, you're deluding yourselves. Why did he choose us then? Besides the obvious answer that "We're F'n Carlton, that's why!". He and his family are being paid squllions at Visy.

I'm not sure we are out of the woods just yet. Having a great midfield is good, but our whole team does not really make a complete side. I know we are improving, but we've got a long way to go.

Who gives a shit why he chose us. He's playing for Carlton and we can only benefit from that.

So you desperately want us to win games and you're genuinely worried that we are not able to due to lack of ability on our list. I guess that makes you the ultimate anti-tanker when the definition of tank is to have the ability to win and yet lose by choice.

Then you go on to say that you don't want to dwell in the past and want to focus on the present. Newsflash: 2007 and the tanking issue is in the past!

Over the next few months of summer we have to wait out the footy drought without having games every week to discuss, so all we really have is to look forward to the upcoming season and how much better it will be than the past 5 dark years have been.

I for one look forward to 2008 with renewed enthusiasm and can't wait for my weekends to be about going to watch Carlton kick some ass again -into September. Call it blind optimism if you will, but to me that kind of pessimism is more akin to the tanking mentality than the anti-tanking :p
