Is it time to follow facebook and instagrams lead and disable likes?

There is little doubt that this contributes to the number of terrible threads and shitposting that goes on across this site with people more interested in their latest "zinger" for likes than actually discussing football. Not only that it is incredibly embarrassing to the likes of go you pups and the likes who have horrendous like to post ratios.

While we are at it a perma ban to anyone who calls something salty would also improve the place 10 fold
