The saddest thing for me after the Adelaide game was the realisation that Judd will not become that dual premiership player I hoped he would be. Let's be realistic - Judd has about 3 good years left on him barring injury. At Carlton, he has been turned into a workhorse expected to do all the work and carry a whole lot of flogs on his back.

I know Carlton wouldn't release him, but I would like him to remembered as one of the all-time greats and one flag with the Eagles doesn't quite do it.

I know it is fantasy stuff...but would you prefer him to be traded to a Sydney, Essendon, Collingwood, Geelong type team and give him his opportunity to play in a flag team or would you prefer to see him in navy blue each week slogging his heart out at the centre of these rugby like packs of 20 players with 3 players grabbing him at every congested pack? Are we seeing the best of Judd in this role at Carlton?

I'm as down as anyone this morning but I think this is a bit much.

Right now the ENTIRE club, from Sticks, to the youngest rookie, to the recruiters, to the bloke whose job it is to make sure the laptop is charged for game-day, everyone needs to put their heads down and work their arses off to make sure that everything is being done to arrest the slide.

With a shitload of hard work, honest reflection and innovative thinking there is no reason we cannot snare a flag whilst Juddy is our skipper.

Look at the reversals Adelaide, WC, and dare I say it the Bummers have pulled off in recent times. They are playing like teams and we are playing like pea-hearts worried about surviving.

I'm off to wash my mouth out with soap.

FMD.

Any wonder depression is so rife when people are so easy to tick off. Anyone would think the sky is falling. We're going through a bad month of footy so sack the coach, trade our best player, delist half the list, drop 19 players this week.

The point should be can our current list with this coach win the flag, if the answer is no then any player with currency over 27 should be considered for trade so we can accelerate a rebuild.

I still believe we have a premership side as does our coach and board given the stated aim for top 4.

However the current gameplan is a disaster so we will be lucky to make the 8.

Judd is still a great player (goal kicking aside) but is up against everything at the moment. Can we win a flag in time to get Juddy what he deserves? I don't know.

But I also shudder to think how we would be without him.

We tanked for 4 years to put a premiership side together now you want to trade the leagues best player. Maybe makes sense in bizzaro world but not from where im sitting. We almost have the list to be contenders. I still think we are a key forward short. When our goal sneaks are on we look good but when they are off we put to much pressure on the rest of the side to score. Ive always been a fev fan and eventhough alot of people wont agree i reckon he would of been a good fit. Even if he only kicked 40 goals he would of given us a big target to kick to. When Warnock comes back we need to throw Kruezer forward, deep forward.

I would never normally post in the carlton forum out of respect, as I dont think I would be welcome.

I dont think that the blues will ever sell judd so its probably a moot point but if the blues dont go for malthouse next season then trading Judd in a super draft year for a couple top ten picks while he still has currency is not the worst idea ever.

Sorry for intruding but seriously? Getting rid of judd after a couple of losses? Should be remembered how many additional members signed on the back of juddy coming to the club. I wonder how those members would react. Would cut off our left knacker to have him at punt road, even with only 3 years left!!!

Would be the worst decision since the appointment of Ian Collins as President.

We were insipid yesterday, but there's no need for the crap that's being posted on here since. We could easily be back in the top 4 on Sunday night for Christ sake, yet the season is over supposedly.

Spot on Frenchy.

Don't know about the back in the top four bit, but if we can get it to 7-3 we are pretty close to where we need to be with some very handy types getting close to resuming.

The ridiculous, overly dramatic carry on on here since the loss has been nothing short of embarrasing. Yes the losses are disappointing, and there are some worrying trends...but this won't be our making or breaking.

Take a deep breath...maybe have a day or two away from BF. Play with your kids, walk the dog, maybe read a book, tell your wife you love her, maybe plan a romantic meal, a little champagne, maybe some saucy sleepwear, suggest a little role-play, invite your neighbour, why not take a video momento...you know, whatever gets you through...

For every thread we close, delete, re-route, we get critical analysis about letting detractors and bullies ruin opinion. It does fall under the category of unpopular reactionary hypotheticals and the chances of getting much of a discussion going or the usefulness of that discussion are slight.

Judd has earned a fair pay day at Carlton and much adulation, we don't owe him a premiership as such.

I'm going to close the thread and await further complaint.
