For Paul Licuria to give it up? I think it is, the game has gone past poor old licca, i love him but hes not fast enough and hes not skillfull enough, maybe he should the initiative and retire on his own terms.

Agreed, he has no role for us no more, hes no half forward and i dont think he can tag players anymore becuase he just is'nt fast enough

Licca has been a legend for the club, but time appears to have finally caught up with him.

Are we better off with an older guy who gets 20 possessions and doesn't use it well or a younger guy who gets 12 and uses it well?

We'll lose a bit of physical presence but if a young fella is showing some good skills we need to move that way.

We'll still have Burns, O'Bree and, Buckley and Holland when they return as our bigger bodied mids.

I don't necessarily think we need more pace based on last nights game, just better disposal skills especially into the forward 50. That was the difference last night I thought.

Exactly, I suppose I'm being pedantic about semantics but it isn't time for Licuria himself to give it up, he has no obligation to it is up to him. Has the game passed Lica by on the other hand? Probably.

yeah i think ur right, but he can still run all day. is still useful, could play forward pocket but burns is the only one deservent of a spot from our ageing brigade and bucks ofcourse.

p.s i think buckley should play until his son is ready to take over the captaincy

I was just preparing to say the same but you beat me to it.
We all love Licca, and THAT final v port, minus Bucks was awesome, however where can he play? Can't go forward or back. Has to play the only way he knows how, all G & D.

Said it last week ,I dont like it, but we cant afford to have Lica,Burns,Obree all playing in the same side.just too many slow players in the midfield at once

I can't belive what im reading, Yes he had a poor game against the Eagles but after 2 rounds and saying he should retire already is just disgraceful he's a great player and you watch Friday night he'll answer the critics when he racks up the stats!
