A friend has just had new son and wants to call him Carlton, not sure the Mrs is too happy about but thats irrelevant I guess.

What do you guys think.......Carlton a good name for newborn male blues supporter or is it just too much ?

Let me see...

Been thinking about it a little more.......might be kinda kool to be at the G with the Blues on a 7 goal burst and 40 000 + supporters chanting Carlton, Carlton, Carlton, Carlton

Why not?
I remember once hearing about twins called Millie and Hannah and a girl called Silvagna. Carlton is a nice word that has a meaning behind it if you choose to look at it ;)

What a lovely name for a girl. Actually, I know someone who did call their daughter that, specifically spelling it that way in honour of the Silvagni name.

Actually I read this name in the paper years back saying it was named after SOS, probably the same person!

well the fact that my daughter Silvagna is tuning 4 in march and i don't think she has ever been in the paper could make it a tad difficult (though she does love going to the footy with me and loves the blues).

It's you! Well yes I read it in the paper but I must confess I could have read it in the birth's section...I'm a chick I do these things....often :D

I named my son, now eleven, Carleton. It's pronounced the same, just with an "e". I went to a Carlton/Collingwood game once and called out to my son who was wandering off, "Carleton, come here!". There was a mixed reaction from those in the crowd who overheard it. (utter disgust and disdain from the Collingwood supporters to bewilderment and curiosity from the Carlton supporters)
