I think bit of both, again losing the good kicks from backline really hurts because it slows down your ball movement from defense, this gives opposition time to setup and makes it difficult for your forwards, what Bulldogs and North has done well last week was organising the backline, hence such low scoring ugly game.This is a really good post and encapsulates a number of Dogs players over the course of the first 6 weeks of the season.
I don't know whether poor leading from forwards is the problem, or poor delivery from mids
