If you actually like music then you will have to get soulseek.
Soulseek have no crap on it at all. Only problem I have with Soulseek is actually getting what i want in the search. I have only had this problem since upgrading. The old system was so much better all round. Everyone is so cautious these days. It's a damn shame.

Soulseek is so much better than LimeWire it's not funny. LimeWire uses more RAM, has a more cluttered interface, low quality files and a limited range of songs. Not to mention it usually has the wrong artist

About those search problems, you just have to know the right way to search. The best way is by artist - search for Crowded House for example and you'll get all their albums shown in folders. But even searching for "Crowded House Something So Strong" still works well. I also like the Wishlist function - very good feature and means you can find just about any song, no matter how rare.

When you listen to music that's so obscure that there's rarely more than 5 seeds and you know places that upload this music to these sites, they kick the crap out of torrents.
Also, I don't know what upload site you used but I haven't come across one that's 50mb/hr. Rapidshare is a bit dodgy with something like 100mb/hr, but with the variety of upload sites around, there's plenty of other alternatives you can use while waiting for the hour. Plus Rapidshare is crap anyway, MediaFire is heaps better than it.

Personally, I'd rather wait the hour than download something at 12kb/s.

That's a good point actually. Doesn't even have to be obscure, can just be old and/or the torrent tracker is down, etc.

Nothing beats a well-seeded torrent for getting a whole discography, though.
