If he keeps Buddy under 3 goals... sure.
If he keeps Buddy under 3 goals... sure.
That's the case with every team with a gun big forward though. Out and out this is the game where Turbo earns his big future paycheck because he's playing without the cushion of a second tall defender, meaning his one on one defending is more critical.Buddy isn't the problem, the supply to him is. If we cut that then we are golden.
Yeah, that's exactly why I said under threeBuddy only kicked 3 v Carltons poo defence.
McGovern is the most important player in this side at the moment. Without his intercept marking game, forced into a one on one defender role, we are a bit of a one trick pony out of defence. They need to do whatever it takes to get his signature at the end of the year.
McGovern is the best loose defender in the competition, his contested marking and rebound ability is second to none. Last night he also showed how well he plays one on one against one of the best forwards in the competition. Totally shut down Franklin whenever he was one on one with him. Unfortunately when he did we lost that intercept mark and rebound that has made the Eagles so good this year. If you don’t believe me just wait and see, there will be some huge offers for him at the end of the season.Disagree.
Alir up the other end was just as effective. He would cost half the coin Gov thinks he is worth. Alir is not half the player, he was just as effective last night.
Always good to get some perspective on what is in the market.
Barrass is also close to matching Gov's intercept marking, kicking got a bit to go but Gov often kicks a few howlers trying to be too cute.

He has a unique name with two "i"s. That probably is the reason why he can float in the aiir longer! This is so
Alir destroyed our forwards and is very mobile as well
Couldn’t have said it better myselfAliir is horrid compared to McGovern. He's the best at what he does in the league. It's not the intercept marks that makes him valuable it's the truly contested grabs he takes under huge pressure where nobody would even consider going for a mark.
Nobody does it as well as him.
Having a s**t forward entry kicked to you for an intercept mark isn't something to hang your hat on.
Sydney fans reckon allir will leave at the end of the year - if we lose gov - get him in as a man on man defender - release tommy b to be the floater ...Disagree.
