I know we are 3 games in, but has any other ruckman been as influential?

I have zero respect for the AA selection process while people like KB are making the decisions and players like Harry O are getting selected. It's become highly political and irrelevant. Awards voted on by the players and coaches have way more cred.

Has his work cut out to get past Vickery.

Although I have little respect for the AA selectors, on his performance last night (against Jolly) I would have to say he and Sandilands would be the two selected.

Judd and Murphy were fed brilliantly be Big M. He was great to watch, and I love seeing that smug Jolly getting a hiding.

Well done Blues. I hope we can take a leaf out of your book when we next play the cats.

Ryder and Kreuzer before Sandilands imo, with Ryder starting. Sandilands wasn't that influential against us last week.

Kreuzer is one of those players you need to actually watch to appreciate how good he is. Stats sheet doesn't tell half the story with Kreuz.

If you have a look at Bomberblitz you will find many don't rate MK very highly because he can't mark and is slow and Ryder is more versatile and on top of this some believe they have 5 potential All Australians.

big jump 0 -5 in one year, isn't it.

One thing Ryder does have, a massive leap... springs in those legs.

Matty K is so good around the ground, almost worth 2 players.

Yes, but as we all know Ryder puts together one patch of a few top games every year and disappears for large stretches. Too inconsistent. Having said that, because he can play a ripper, I'm really looking forward to the game next week. Perhaps more so than this week.

Come All-Australian selection I expect Sandilands to be the starting ruck in the AA team if he manages to play 18+ games with Kreuzer on a half forward flank or forward pocket.

He is so much more than a ruckman. In the centre square he is ruck and a midfielder in one, and then when he is forward he is a tall target and a full on chasing, harrassing, tackling forward as well. The best all round footballer of all the big men in the AFL, and I include Buddy in that. And still has plenty of upside. Thank God for the wooden spoon that delivered him.
