Is Polak likely to be traded, or is that bullsh*t?

It doesn't sound likely to me, but there's a growing whisper that Polak might be on the move after this season.

What do Dockers fans think?

As a WC fan, we'd have more than a passing interest in Polak, and we've had some great experiences doing business with Fremantle in the past. Remember Brendan Fewster, David Hynes and Daniel Metropolis?

What do you think WC would have to offer to secure Polak in a trade?

For the record, Jeremy Humm and Zach Beeck are future champions, and would really blossom at Fremantle.

I know WC supporters live on long forgotten glory, but could you come up with something more recent?

It would need to be a West Australian, Waters is a South Australian. Has had injury problems too. Braun is a Vic originally. Judd and Cousins obviously untradeable. So that leaves Kerr, a East Freo boy too.

So if Polak went which I hope he doesnt would equate to Kerr. Both have similar stature within each club, both probably with their own probs inside the respective clubs. Clean start, same state most logical. Outside WA probably looking at Hawthorn to pair up with Croad. This probably equates to a top 4 pick plus a sweetner probably. The draft this year is thin apparently.

Don't know if the Hawks would want to trade with us again.

I still see Polak as vital to our team. We have some great key position players but we still lack height. Also, I believe Polak is just recently begining to regain his confidence. He kicked 2 goals against Adelaide which isn't significant but I think it really installed some belief in himself. Last week, I saw him backing into packs and going for the big marks, which he hasnt done for a long time. It was his courage that made him such a prospect in the first place. He lost that for a while I thought but just maybe its coming back.

I dont think we will be involved in trading too much this year. Probably we will draft midfielders unless someone like M Clarke or J Kennedy pops up with our first pick

yeah the eagles would like a foward that can mark! :D
when you have a midfield like west coast you can afford to have a moron like lynch as the FF dropping every second mark.

Polak, Mr Potential. Has had to many injuries, you can have him for one of your fast midfielders. Kerr would be nice.

What is this love affair some freo supporters have with Kerr? Swapping Polak for Kerr is crazy talk I tells ya.

And before half a dozen Egos supporters flood this thread I do recognise that Kerr is a decent footballer, just too much overlap in abilities to our current mosquito fleet.

In the unlikely event that Polak is determined to go I think he would do really well under Pagan. I also think we could do really well with one of Pagan's priority picks, plus another lower pick of course.

Polak won't be traded as he doesn't want to go.

if it happened, Polly for Brad Smith? heh heh, Smith's a future gun I reckon and I was ********ed that we missed him in the draft!

Nah. I don't think so. What would you be throwing in with Polak to get Kerr? Because he's worth more than Polak alone, even if Polak is KPP size.

Seriously, Kerr has the runs on the board already and is only a year longer in the system than Polak. A direct swap (which I might have done a year ago) is just not reasonable at this time.

I concede Polak hasnt had a good year and his value has perhaps fallen a little but as you will admit, value is something only a interested club can value. The eagles need a CHB and Polak is a possible nearer term solution than trying to develop one. Kerr is coming off the bench if I'm correct with Stenglein around. Its a deal that would be done Q if it was seriously mooted.

Oh, I'm not saying it can't be done, just that Kerr would have a higher value than Polak at the moment. I'd probably want your second round pick as well to make it happen (if I were in a position to be doing trades).

Kerr's position on the bench is probably more because he has a higher impact playing for less than an entire game. Plus, since we're making a point of destroying teams in "red time" this year, it makes sense to have quality midfielders ready to go at that time. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I'm confused. Wasn't Polak considered one of the better prospects at Freo last year? Weren't Freo fans singing his praises? How has he dropped so far in estimations?

Is Polak Freo's version of Karl Norman perhaps? Showed plenty of potential but just doesn't seem to put in 100% and make the final step.

I'd like to say Carlton would take him but I read something about Fevola besting him in a bit of a scuffle in the offseason when they got together with their shared player manager. That might create a problem.

Anyway, as someone who doesn't see too many Freo matches, what is up with Polak?

I'd like to see him at Fremantle for another few years.

Waters is going to be a great player up foward for us in the future so no, you cant have him. Maybe a first round pick and Adkins or McDougall?

surprised at how lowly some of the freo supporters rate polak.

had a shocking run with injurys this year , reckon polaks market value would still be extrememly high. kp chb dont grow on trees in this league..........and geez does he have a good set of hands.

would grab him in heart beat at the hawks
