People have discussed the possibility of Polak leaving Freo. Is this simply because he is out of contract or is there more to this such as qualms between him the coach etc?

Interested to know, as clearly we are crying out for some KP defenders.

Is he really?

I actually thought he was a pretty good chance of leaving too.

Didn't know he was contracted.. cool.

Not playing great for us, but if he left would probably absolutely kill us more than any trade before.

He's contracted until the end of next season, but that doesn't mean he won't be traded. The positive is that because he is contracted Freo have the upper hand if he is to be traded. He has played poorly in a lot of games this season. The coaching staff will know if this is because of attitude or ongoing injury problems. If it is an attitude problem and a club comes up with an offer we can't refuse then he will be traded. Hopefully his form has been due to injury which he can get right for the start of the pre-season and have a big year for Freo in 2006.

Perhaps he can see the writing on the wall or perhaps a subtle word has been dropped in his ear? He is his own worst enemy!
