Bombers looked good on weekend, think you'll do ok. As for most of the other scenarios....
One game doesn't mean they will make the finals, but the bombers have added critical things to their side which will help them improve. (small forwards, a working forwardline, numbers down back)

Of round 1 losers I'd say Melbourne, Fremantle, Sydney and Geelong should make finals. So I dont think we can jump to any conclusions at all.

We beat Sydney round 1 last year and finished 15th.....they lost a granny by a point

Most definitely does. It's 4 points, means the same as round 2 or 22 or any other home and away round.
It might but just look at fremantle. Lost 8 games in the first 10 or something and end up making the finals by winning 9 in a row.

Another example is sydney last year. Lost the first 3 of 5 and made the GF.
