That in a nutshell, is the main question that everyone is not trying to ask... but wanting/needing/feeling to...

Everyone's been hankering since 2004 about when St Kilda's going to actually achieve a premiership... Take your sides now, St Kilda's at a very low ebb...

Oh.. and do say if St Kilda doesn't win this year, which is it most likely to win it?

I doubt it. Even at our best I'm not sure we can match WC, and getting our best 22 fit and on the park at the same time once again seems unlikely.

So, no, I don't think so. :(

But I'd be delighted to be wrong! :p

I doubt it. If we had Sydney's run with injuries, West Coast's blessing from the AFL and Collingwood's draw, then maybe. But realistically I don't think we've got much chance. We can beat any team on our day, but I just don't think we'll be able to get all of;18 of our best 22 fit to play, good form over several months and the mental toughness to beat top teams.

Going into the season I was probably the most optimistc I had ever been, but we are showing no signs of being a premiership team at the moment.

If GT was retained I thought we would have had another tilt at the top 4. Ross Lyon may turn out to be a great coach but he's in his first year, so can't be expected to deliver a flag just yet. I tipped us 8th at the start of the year and at the moment I'd probably still agree with a finish around that region.

I think we are going to struggle getting the full team on the paddock for the rest of the year. Then - when we work out how to win the clearances - we might be a show. Sam Fisher back this week - GUN !!

i watched you guys play against Sydney and too tell the truth i didn't think much of what i saw so i believe you have very limited if any hopes on winning the flag.
i hope it is a good game this week, but i want us to pinch it.

I suppose if we have any thoughts on making the finals and challenging for a premiership we should beat teams like Hawthorn.

Definitely a big game.

Spot on if you were a genuine premiership contender you should beat teams like us. No way you have any chance of winning the premiership this year.

Geelong finished a goal short in the 89 GF with a first year coach. Some bloke called Blight.

i didn't say we did we are a young side and as buddy improves and so does the rest of the team, we will get better.
