Many of us on here grew up when Tasmanian football was strong, the rivalries were great and the local people cared. Now the AFL has steamrolled local football with non-stop TV coverage. The local league is an embarrassment, "crowds" are non-existent and media coverage negligible. So, is this an inevitable and irreversible decline that will see football in Tasmania in the future consist solely of TV watching and an occasional live AFL game? Or is there a formula that could revive the local scene enough to re-awaken interest? If Andrew Demetriou appointed you to "fix" Tasmanian football, what would you do?
