And yet Australia is immune
make the cfl answer to sports intergrity australia , they have their own corrupt integrity unit instead .... why is this ?

it seems the gov turn a blind eye on the cfl cos its the national game

Depends on the definition of rigged; it is as in the new teams get favourable terms to grow the game in QLD and NSW.

Apart from that, not really.

What they could do to make the game more even......

The team with the most points wins the premiership.

Top four teams play off for the cup.

Every team plays each team twice.

NO BS start to the season. get right into it.

I wouldn't say rigged. More that every rule isn't black and white like they should be. Every rule is open to interpretation and EVERY person interprets things differently. Prime example was a tackle friday, the in play umpire paid holding the ball but was overruled by another umpire paying a high tackle. The high tackle occured after the player had numerous chances to dispose of the ball. They umpires do make some horrible decisions but the fault also lies with the AFL. make the rules black and white, its not that hard.

Of course it's rigged. Not to the extend of rigging individual games, but the competition is designed to deliver maximum revenue. Victorian fans are rusted on. It's all about ensuring that at least one club in each interstate market is competitive. The AFL has many levers at their disposal to deliver that outcomes. They don't really care who wins the premiership, they just want to maximise TV ratings and game attendances.

We shouldn't complain. Try being St Kilda or North Melbourne in this competition. The AFL doesn't care if they are cannon fodder for 20 years because they won't move the needle. Watch things swing our way in 5 years time when we're back on the up again - we'll get a sweet draw, some lucky umpiring breaks, dodge a few bullets at the tribunal and our first final will somehow be at the MCG despite finishing in the bottom part of the 8/10/12.

Go Tige's.
