A casual 24 years.

Liverpool have never been as much of a basket case as we have been. Even in the bad years they weren't as bad our "bad" years. 1 step forward 10 steps back with the Tigs. What makes it worse is we are down in the cellar with some of the really battling sides this year.

does it really matter? I mean, do we really believe that we can cut it in finals when we can dish up what we did today?

Well, you know, when the pinnacle of Hardwick's time at the club (2013) concludes with five or six weeks of football that includes a thrashing by Sydney and multiple defeats by Carlton, the year to date comes as no surprise. We are dead easy to play against.

The heart breaking thing for me is that we didn't cut corners this time (apparently)

We were patient, smart, built up the off-field
We had a plan, we invested, we paid our dues
We re-built the "right way"
This wasn't supposed to be a false dawn. It was supposed to be the real deal.

I didn't honestly expect top 4. I did expect competitive though. I did expect forward progress
How the **** do Port get up and about and we languish in the bowels of football hell... again

Seriously, if it doesn't work out this time, I have almost lost hope it ever will.
Another year of "don't worry Tiger, we'll get them next year mate"... You just lose hope after awhile.
*sigh* What do you do though? You can't help the club you love

I hope RFC reads this. I hope all the pea-hearted, gutless mercenaries that put on a Richmond jumper read this.
We never demanded a flag, we hope for that. We do demand effort and heart and to play like you give a shit.
So until that happens, take off the jumper and give it to a kid that actually wants to play. You're not a Tiger and you never will be.
We will still be here in 10 years time, "giving 110%", when you are retired and working on your landscaping business.

I love the RFC with everything I've got,
I just wish the players and coaches did as well

We dont have the depth in the midfield, players like Conca, Ellis, Vlas and even Martin (no tank) havent come on as quickly as we need them too and players like Grigg, S Edwards even Houli have gone backwards.

Players like Vickery havent pulled their finger out either meaning we have to rely on the likes of Pettard. The whole chemistry is out of whack now and we are trying to plug gaps because we have no depth.

People are complaining about the top up players but I'm not sure what did we actually give up for these players? Are there any rookies that have been picked up by other teams that we should have got tearing the competition apart atm?

The other main problem and this is my real criticism of Hardwick is our defensive pressure and willingness to run hard back when we don't have the ball, our players are damn lazy and not prepared to run hard enough for long enough. I felt this was the case in some games even last season, we need to keep drafting midfielders, quick ones that love to run.

Yes we did cut corners. They didn't have the balls to finish the job. Instead of going youth, youth, youth they went youth, youth, panic, Grigg, Houli, Petterd, A Edwards, Stephenson, Knights, Thomas, Banfield, Morris, etc.

Those guys were played and recruited instead of kids and now the list has a number of players who don't cut it and guess what the majority were these fringe players from other clubs.

Bang on. I know I keep harking back to it but this was so evident from our game last July at the SCG. Other teams move the ball so quickly against us because our players just won't run to defend. They give up and don't look interested when they don't have the football. It's pathetic.

Still paying a heavy price for our blunders:

- Aaron Fiora over Matthew Pavlich
- Not taking a pick till #33 in the 2001 Superdraft
- Giving up pick two, etc. in that ludicrous Kane Johnsen trade
- Richard Tambling over Lance Franklin
- Four other top-20 picks in 2004 but only one left on our list
- Pick eight for 13-game, one-goaler Jarrad Oakley-Nichols
- Jordan McMahon over Callan Ward
- Five drafts under Damien Hardwick and the best we've found is occasional contributor Dustin Martin

I'm astounded to see some people think our season is not over, we fell in against blues could have easily had 1 win. This year was described as favourable draw and they are playing like busted backsides, has the world gone mad?
