Opinion Is this rock bottom?

Is there a point, or an incident that it all started going to sh!t?

It's covid isn't it? We had won a couple of games with Shaw before the stopped the season and it all started crumbling..
The hub in QLD. Something must have happened there because we have been worse than shit ever since.

No. It isn't.

OK, so the Clarko stuff at Hawthorn isn't good. And the TT stuff is really bad. And the Port squib wanting out didn't look good. And we know that the Prez is a fighter but unfortunately she's in a fight. But when can we pinpoint rock bottom?

With 20/20 hindsight goggles on rock bottom was November 19, 2020.

The descent began the day Dal Santo, Firrito, Harvey and Petrie were finished up. The decline went further down when the Martin/Kelly hail Mary failed with no Plan B. This was about the same time Bard got his contract extension. Then there was a plummet when the back up to dodging the Gaff bullet was Tyson, Pittard, Polec and Hall. Then after Good Friday 2019 when a 10-year coach declared he needed more time to rebuild. Then we excavated when Simmo, Clarko and Horse passed so we settled on Rhyce. Further depths we plumbed in 2020 when our COVID hub turned into a circus and 11 players were delisted before any other club had played their last game. And THEN when our coach admitted our problems were too much for him we banked on someone with no positive coaching experience at all. That was November 19, 2020 when we appointed David Noble.

From there we never got any lower. We were a shit team, who'd cut the list to make it shitter, and who had moved on a shit coach and replaced him with one shitter.

I think we stayed at rock bottom, neither up nor down until Noble got the sack. So rock bottom was November 19, 2020 to July 12, 2022. Not being too harsh on Noble - he tried his best - but he was a dud coach with a dud list. (Cunnington only played 17 of Noble's 38 games) He was set up to fail. Since July 12, 2022 there have been some setbacks (TT, Clarko at Hawthorn, Port squib) but at least I think we're going back up. The coaching staff look good. Clarkson. Viney/Ratten/Gibson et al. Cheezels and WarLord. Sonja. Hopefully Jen Watt. Good, proven people who want to be part of a great institution.

We aren't too far above Rock Bottom. There have been setbacks since July 12, 2022.

But we're off it.

Regarding Glenn Archer perhaps?

Love Arch but yeah he should definitely be paying for that cyclists bills. I do believe Glenn when he says he didn't know he hit the guy and have no reason to think he would intentionally(even with his short temper), but he is still to blame for the accident.

Gosh I hope JHFF is ok?

This is definitely the most rock bottom feeling I've ever had at a live game. Ever. Charlies leg injury was ****ing horrific. Feels like a funeral. Hard to envision how it gets more rock bottomy than this. [emoji1651]
