Beating GC in round 24 last year meant we got Duursma instead of Reid - that's the reality of it?...... It could end up being the straw that breaks the camels back.
So far Duursma has taken one nice mark. He looks like he has talent. Definitely no guarantees at this stage he will be an A Grade player though - we all HOPE he will be. And did we actually need another half-forward flanker???? I hope for all of our mental health that Duursma becomes an A Grade AFL footballer.
Reid is a generational talent - big-bodied mid with grunt & spunk. He is EXACTLY what we needed. It's going to hurt so much watching him for the next decade. On top of watching JHF have a stellar career at Port. I mean seriously, how much are we as NM fans, expected to tolerate? It has gotten beyond a joke. It really has.
I sincerely hope that the Board is fully aware of how close the supporter base is to breaking. "Be patient. It will turn" is a cop out. Will it turn? Who the **** knows? It might. Maybe. One day. But when - not before 2030. You can take that to the bank.

The irony is the way TT played against Gold Coast cost us Reid, and now we don’t have him either.I’m not sure I can watch much more AFL. And I’m suspecting that will be the case for the next decade.
We had the potential midfield of LDU, JHF, Sheezel, Reid and T Thomas. A potential dynasty midfield. But through stupidity, bad luck and poor management, we don’t have anything resembling that.
Watching JHF and Reid for the next decade is gonna hurt like hell.
And please, spare me the “I’m happy with who we’ve got.”

Fancy being 2 games behind West Coke after 6 rounds. Tell me that isn’t rock bottom

This ******* bullshit over whether we should’ve thrown a game to get a draft pick is just that…..******* bullshit. What if hypothetically north had actually won some games between rounds 2 and 24 so the last round was irrelevant? We wouldn’t have finished last anyway and wouldn’t have got pick one regardless and lo and behold the north faithful would’ve actually been happy that we were progressing and not losing games the whole time. Just imagine that scenario for one minute? We as a supporter group would have much preferred having more wins and highs than crying over draft order. Omg. I want to see wins ffs. And tanking is just BULLSHIT and appalling every day of the week.
Didn’t see it but pretty pathetic to hear.I was actually so shocked that Lloyd basically endorsed tanking. What is the world coming to?
At the moment!Fancy being 2 games behind West Coke after 6 rounds. Tell me that isn’t rock bottom
Of all the Kerridge winning performances, that was the most Kerridge worthy one.I remember when I thought Josh Bruce's 10 goals on Good Friday was rock bottom. A substantial loss to the Hawks today would be a new low point. Hopefully we can put together something that resembles AFL standard football and be competitive today.
Wonder what peoples attitudes would've been if we won both * games and didn't infringe on the interchange against Sydney? This ******* bullshit over whether we should’ve thrown a game to get a draft pick is just that…..******* bullshit. Why did my original post get deleted?Of all the Kerridge winning performances, that was the most Kerridge worthy one.

No offense, but the sheer brutal incisiveness of this post has forced me to report it.The irony is the way TT played against Gold Coast cost us Reid, and now we don’t have him either.
