This is as low as we have been since the Carey situation.

This is worse than where we were in 2007 when JB saved us.

We are a laughing stock of the rest of the competition and it has got to a point where we cannot retain our only ever number 1 draft pick, and we have other teams assistant coaches not wanting to apply for one of only 18 coaching jobs in the country, because our reputation is so low amongst the football industry.

We are miles off the second worst team at the moment.

I fear for the future of the club moving forward. I really do. There is no light at the end of the tunnel at the moment.

Internally Screaming Season 3 GIF by Bachelor in Paradise

Nah not yet. Reckon we'll be right though. Boomer promised cockroaches and us, we're still here, and that's the win. On the ropes and wobbly for sure, but we've got a sh!t eating grin and a spark in our eye. We'll flip the bird, push our socks down and go again. It's how we roll.

For me the threat to our very existence in 2007 was worse.

The current issues are just another hurdle on the journey.

Had we moved to GC all of this would never have happened... we'd be 15 years extinct. That threat was seriously a fearful time.

At least we still have the club we all love.

We'll be right. I love some good adversity. Makes success all the sweeter.

Agreed.

F*** it was awful coming on here in 2007.

Losing a pimply 19yo who doesn’t want to be here is not in the same stratosphere as nearly losing our club completely in 2007.

Can’t believe anyone would go down that path.

Over it already. Let's grab some committed young talent.

Iam far from over it, its a loss of one of the keepers column, which makes the 12 on the get rid of and replace column slip back even further.. the only silver lining for me is whilst we took best available last year with jhf he is the kind of player we are slightly more equipped to cover than say mckay or souva, if we can leverage this setback into an outcome where we can get a couple more kpps we might better address our needs.

But make no mistake were flying awfully close to the sun to use the icarus analogy.

10pm July 2nd, 2022.

North Melbourne 32. Geelong 144.

Our 11th straight loss of 47+ points and our 45th loss in 52 games. Without doubt the lowest point in the last 50 years of our club’s great history.

There may be more 100 point losses to come, but I think after the previous seven weeks, and especially today, we have plenty of reason to believe that the worst is over.

If only

silver lining is we saw this blokes true colours in our darkest hour, can deal with him with the rest of the crap before we get back on the up.

Nah, 2023 flag I reckon. Up the Roos

Fist JHF, possibly now TT...We can't have our young players wanting to leave en masse. That's a mud that is hard to unstick if it becomes a trend and keeps us in a vortex of rebuilding mode.

They say any publicity is good publicity but gee we've been absolutely slammed over the last 2 years, can't be good for our brand.

Pretty bleak about our immediate on-field future if this shit keeps happening tbh....here's hoping we can pull a Collingwood in 2023.
