No, you traded away ur future first round pick next year (currently pick 2) for a kid picked 27 yet to fire a shot.
Won't hear the end of that for years to come ...
A key tall, don't expect key talls to fire a shot in their first three or four years and I'm being generous in that regard, I thought it was a great tactical decision as this draft is one of the weaker ones in living memory, a few gold nuggets out their if you can get them but we got our man who we rated in the top 12 of the national draft, so pick 27 is a complete & utter steal, no two ways about it.

About "won't hear the end of that for years to come", your right in one aspect, I'm confident we won't be hearing anything at all, the kids pretty good and when he's ready there will be some reference to that deal but not in the way some expect! ;)

As you say Scout we rated him we did what we had to do to get him that's the end of the story right there and we will hopefully reap the rewards in the future. To many on here say we don't do this we don't do that we need to be more aggressive and as soon as we do they knock us for it. Regardless of how it turns out I'm glad we are looking to be on the front foot.

Was wonder how this thread made it up to the top aga
Trajectory slightly upwards, wins and percentage improving. Possible but unlikely to hit 7 wins. Percentage a better indicator anyway, surely if we can get to 85 or higher is a satisfying back end to season? Would put us in comparison with port, godees and stkfc

Kornes has us at 7.5 wins and he is a genius.

No doubt about it we are a better team than last year given our ins alone and the improvement of others.

Some chemistry bedded down as well.

Ive stated earlier this year after one of our loses we will all be very happy by seasons end. I’ll stick by that.

At the start of the year i had no interest on how many games we won and still don't. What i wanted to see was a steady improvement in our game players that we wanted to sigh on for longer sigh on a good game plan and structure in place and 3 or 4 players to announce themselves as legitimate AFL quality players. I think everything i wanted has so far been answered To me it's always been 20-26 and on wards that excited me

Absolutely pup, ha ha ha, it does seem to flow that way doesn't it? I get it though, on all the other teams boards its the same and most of the guys/girls even though they say some interesting things at times, they just want what we all want and that's for our team to improve & at least be in contests and of course to win.

But its just patience that can be so hard to have, even some strong minded people have only a limited amount and when that time limit runs out, well you know how it goes. Finn O'Sullivan, is one example, some posters said things like he was to soft/a cat, doesn't tackle, a wasted pick and we should have picked ???????. Zane has copped some as well even knowing that he was going to take a little bit of time and he's shown in games how good he's going to be, but NO, whether its watching the reserves and he's not chasing/ doesn't seem interested or again we should have picked ???????? is just another case of some with little to no patience.

There are others and I'm not saying at times there shouldn't be some criticism BUT the kids are trying, at times probably too hard, and our coaches are doing there job, contrary to some, it again come down to patience and the one fact that rarely breaks its way into the conversation, our last last five years and the performances that our team has put out, that there is the real reason why some people have in a term "spat the dummy" and have lost patience.

There is my term that I quite often use that is pretty much my way of thinking with what is slowly transpiring, "the little things", they have been happening over the last two years and there have been many instances where this has occurred, we are finally at the stage where things are coming together, are we out of the woods?

Well let me put it this way, we are running out of the woods where there seems to be trees everywhere, into a clearing upper head, it seems we have been running out of these woods for a long time but in reality we just needed time and patience to find the clearing, now that we have, we can see daylight, and the relief/emotion that will follow when we are completely clear will become undoubtedly stunning & astonishing! ;)

Yeah i get it Scout some of us have more patience than others and i have plenty and we will reap the rewards in the long run. Some on here don't realize just how hard it is to make finales never lone win a flag.
