IS this week off a blessing in disguise

I know that some of you will be dirty on the weekend that your team isn't playing, but the last couple of weeks have provided some very ordinary games. I just wonder if a weeks rest will mean a solid finish to the year and some better games. Geelong/Hawthorn yesterday was only exciting in the last 10 minutes because neither team had done anything.

It may also give the Saints a chance to get the water boy, orange cutter, kids at training and mascot a pair of boots to pull on so we can field a team. Thanks for building a ground of concrete AFL - you really did a lot of homework on that one.

yeah i think it is a good idea, altho i must admit i am not going to like it, not being able to watch my boys, but i will live.

Essendon has got a lot of one-to-two week injuries, so the weeks rest will be fantastic. Every club will be lookig forward to the break to give injured bodies and minds a chance to freshen up.

We've actually a two week bye. We play Fremantle, after the weeks rest.

It will certainly help us, Chick, Holland, Rehn, Barker and possibly Crawford will all come back after the break. I can't wait...
